Been down for about a week. Anyone know when it will be back up?
I notified them it was down & got a return thank U but no word when it was coming back
It’s too bad. It is one of the fastest-streaming train cams on the internet, too.
Yes especially with the UPRR connection at Edelstein coming on line the cam was even to become more interesting
If anybody else wants to contact them here is the address
Better yet, get a window seat at Alpha’s Deli. The food is good and nothing beats the view. The barge casino is nothing to get excited about. Drive around the center of town and see if you can find where the old CB&Q to Ottumwa ran in the street.
Ah when U R 1,000 miles away from FM the cam is a great way of keeping track of the action there.
Parthenon restaurant is my favorite. Just ask the greeter for a window seat.
The tenderloins at the marina are not bad. In the Summer, you can sit outside for the audio as well.
If only Melburg’s were still open and the Dolly still ran. An entire day of draft Michelob, fried pork and fishing in Oquawka with no reason to worry about driving home.

It looks like the Butler Building bus depot with plastic seats will no longer be the Amtrak station in Ft. Madison. The old mission style station next to the CB&Q prairie icon will be where the passenger train stops.
This will allow viewing of the loading and unloading on the web, as well as from nearby bars and restaurants.
…Credit to Mayor Steve Ireland and I suppose the city Council of Fort Madison as well for restoration idea of depot…Nice to hear of renewing items that can enhance city activity and of course put the Amtrak depot where one imagines it should be.
This is good news. Think I will depart from that station on our next trip instead of Galesburg.
I just tried the Galesburg cam. They have it tied down this afternoon. Ice and rain I guess.
