Happy Canada Day!!!!

I just want to wish all my fellow Canadian’s a happy Canada Day. I’ll be sitting around most of the afternoon by the pool soaking up the sun with friends, drinking beer and cooking on the barbecue. I’ll be going to a Canada Day car show with my Trans Am in the morning. Looks like its going to be a great day.

And a Happy Day to you, me I will be pushing the lawn mower this AM and head for the Aqua Park in the afternoon.

Happy Canada Day to our favorite people… [tup]

I plan on sitting around with a cold beer and then BBQ for supper. There are some firework displays in the area for tonight. To our friends south of the border the 4th is close , hope you have a good one.

Off to the Highland Games and Pibroch tunes. As Al Capone answered when some one asked him about Canada, he replied “Canada? I don’t even know what street it’s on”

Aren’t we a Dominion anymore???

In honour of Canada Day, I think we should all recite the Man’s Prayer.

I’m a man and I can change… if I have to… I guess…

Amen!

-George

Yes, Happy Dominion Day to us all!

I’ll second the Dominion Day vote!

Now you just need an animated Red Ensign! [:)]

Ya’ll have a round of duct tape on me![;)] Is this also called Boxing Day? Or is that a different Holiday?

Thanks for all the good wishes for Canada Day

And from Saskatchewan I wish all my Canadaian brothers & sisters a very happy day as well.

I am doing security work here this morning at a Canadaian Imigration swearing in Ceremony,

so lots of hype and celebrations going on here.

Hope all our friends south of the 49th have a great day too. And lets pray that Mother nature starts to be kinder to you from here on this year.

Viva le Canada, Viva le United States.

Johnboy out…

Too tired after 5 days at the N scale collector’s convention in Louisville to do much celebrating today! Man, air travel in the US, especially through Chicago, really sucks! If you have any stock in United, get rid of it now, before they self-destruct . . .

David

Best wishes to a happy and safe (if not sane, LOL!) holiday to all of our great friends in Canada [bow][bow]. In fact, to celebrate, I’m going to watch my all-time favorite Canadian film: MEN WITH BROOMS, today. Funny, FUNNY film about ‘Curling.’ Exciting, too.

Have a great day, all.

Tom [:D]

Yup, Boxing Day is December 26th. Another one to look forward to as it means more train time for me!

Have a good Holiday , to all my Bro’s just across the lake (Erie). I’d like to visit but the lines at the Peace Bridge are too long these days.

Happy Canada Day to all of Alex Trebeck’s relatives!!! [;)]

To paraphrase a familiar quote, “Some of out best members are Canadian!!”[:)]

Duh! Its Canada Day!! Now I know why I keep getting voice mail for all my Canadian business associates today!

Have a great day all my Canadian buddies!

I appreciate having a county adjacent to mine which isn’t dysfunctional like my neighbor to the south.

Found a cheap 10-day ship cruise to Alaska on the Dawn Princess leaving on August 25, so I’ll be visiting Victoria, BC (again). (After my first cruise to Alaska, which included a 12-hour stop in Victoria, I returned again for a week for a more in-depth visit.) I finally got a trip going to Skagway, even if it duplicates two previous visits to Juneau and Ketchikan. Even better, the ship departs and returns to San Francisco so all air travel is eliminated. Air travel takes a lot of joy out of a trip.

One of these days I will go to the BC Cascades, take the train over them, and visit the glaciers.

Mark

That reminds me. I still have a tin of “Tea at the Empress.” … I’ll brew some now and make a toast to Canada.

Mark

And a special shoutout to the fine folks in Balcarres, SK. Hopefully the next time I have occasion to travel up your direction it WON’T be in January!

Happy Canada Day eh !

after a yummy barbeque at my brother-in-law’s , my wife and i visited the Toronto Railway Historical Association’s ( http://www.trha.ca/index.html ) display in the old Don station (now located at Todmordon Mills but scheduled to be moved to the roundhouse area downtown). here’s how it looked in 1910
