Hey i just made out my will that my body is to be transported by train to vermont when I die in 2071

Provided that I live to 100 or so and that there is railroads and passenger trains in 2071
My Tomstone will read
The Inscription “Bring Men to the Mountain so that they can lay down there crosses and use them to build a City of God and lay down tracks throughout the universe so that all can know me”.

Passenger rail service in Vermont is always at risk. You might consider a back-up plan. Perhaps a Trailways bus to Port Kent and a Lake Champlain Ferry ride to Burlington?

Have your stone carver use a spell-check when carving your stone, by the way. [:)]

You have to be of sound mind for a will to be legally valid.

And put a footnote in that will that says: “Except as otherwise provided in applicable tariffs, supplements thereto and reissues thereof.”

The inscription probably won’t make it in the more politically correct 2070’s… it will be changed to read…

“Cordially invite and provide safe, no-cost transportation to all persons regardless of gender to the Mountain (registered trademark of the Vatican, XXII) so that they can lay down their prescribed religious, spiritual or similiar cultural symbols and use them to build a City representing the religious deity(ies) associated with their chosen religion, spituality or culture and lay down tracks meeting all federal, state and local government safety, environmental and handicapped accessability requirements throughout the universe so that all can know me”*

  • All aforementioned travellers to the mountain ™ should read operating and safety instructions prior to embarking upon the journey. Travellers under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult. Always wear approved safety equipment when building a city or tracks of any type. Don’t drink and use power tools, particularly those that have spinning or reciprocating blades. Tread lightly!

LOL…

A little morbid planning…

LC

And that would require some big tombstone!!!

you forgot the part about pregnant women should avoid building cities or laying track.

Good point, but I think they already did…or at least someone did…[;)]

I like that…also I forgot that since this is Vermont you will need all the applicaple Enviromentle permits that the state requires

Perhaps they will have hoverbuses in 2071…The State of Vermont owns the railroads in that state and leases them out to private operaters so yes there will be railroads,What railroads will look like in 2071 is anyones guess. I just hope that there is not another PennCentral like there was in 1971

LC

If I’m working for RailEarth ( which will operate every mile of trackage in the world) I’ll make shure your handled with care[xx(][:D]

I don’t think you will be the only one being “tossed”. [;)]

Maybe you can go by intermodal and have a Vermont Railways trailer move you the rest of the way.

There once was a man named adrianspeeder…
Who had a …

Nevermind.

Why such a morbid topic?
