I purchased a 06-2315 coaling station to add an accessory to my O gauge layout. I followed the directions actually two different sets of directions. I came up with something that partially works. When I use the up direction on the lever on the controller nothing happens. When I use the down direction on the lever on the controller the gondola comes up when it gets to the top it gets stuck and I have to unravel the lines and bring it down manually. The lever for the dump and load works. The magnet in the track works as it opens the car and the coal flys out into another car or pan. The help I need is how to get it totally functional. I need the up to go up and then down and I think it’s in the wiring. If I could add a photo it would be easier to understand.

I don’t know anything about diodes. I’m trying to get the coaling station to totally function. I placed a photo of my last wiring combination. It gives me every function but the gondola. It raises up while I push the controller lever down. When it gets to the top it dumps the coal but it does not go down. I have to unwind it and lower the gondola manually.This is irritating. I want the entire station to work. Is there any way you can see my wiring and determine how to fix it.
I am using the diagram in the instructions plus the top 1/2 of the note addendum directions.
