David, please know we’ll be thinking of you tomorrow.
Many thanks. Hopefully it is straightforward. It’s the ‘not knowing’ the procedure.
Good luck with that David.
I had a four hour surgery on Jan 6 and the next day I had to have an MRI just to make sure things were copacetic. Climbing off the gurney onto the MRI was more than I bargained for.
Only got 4 hours of sleep last night and it is catching up to me. I generally sleep 5 to 6 hours.
Went for a blood panel yesterday, I was in and out of there in 5 minutes flat. It is always like that, the place is run like a Swiss watch.
Take Care and look after yourself, Brent.
Time for me to get some sleep.
‘Night all.’
No, No, No! Your other right!
I’d never say “right turn Clyde”, when there’s a building in the way!
Hoping for the best prognosis possible tomorrow, David

Evening
Well, time to knock on the door of my friend. No Super Emergency or anything like that, but my little Miss Judy intercepted a sealed bottle of wine from the hotel. This sort of thing with left behind wine and beer happens all the time. But I’m afraid we’re quite unfamiliar with this one though. Even after trying to look it up.
Do you know if this stuff is any good Bear, or should we just dump it?
TF
“Dump it??!!!”
Only if you’re a heathen!
That said, it does depend on your taste, but a chilled “Kim Crawford” on a sunny day should slide down nicely! (It should slide down nicely on any occasion, unless you’re a stickler for wine drinking protocols and only drink reds with red meat, etc.) Enjoy!!
Going to the farm, so off grid for the weekend.
Thoughts and Best Wishes to Al that need them. Kia Kaha.
Cheers, the Bear. .
Thanks Bear, I’ll let Judy know it’s safe to open it, whenever we’re in that indulgent wine mode next.
We’re taking off for a few days too.
You and “Her Indoors” have a great time with family at the farm. I’m envying the delicious food you’ll eat
We’ll see ya next week my brother
TF
Morning Diners! an OJ and full English please Flo,
I found a little something that I have seen in over a year!
My iPhone 5s from 2013, Its official 12 years old , It was my first phone as a kid and well it still works and I’m going to use it as my main for the next couple of years
, I’ll even use it to check the forum!
Its quite old I know but it has valuable memories and it runs iOS 12.5.1 and it works fine just needs the screen replaced, It might have some pictures from my early railfan years no clue might have to do some exploring on 25.6GB worth of photos
TF, Have a good few days off! Enjoy them!
Bear, Good luck on your farm! Be safe and have fun!
Hope you have an amazing Fri-YAY!
Good afternoon Diners. A glass of juice please, Flo.
The scan went well. I shall not know the results until later
TF Enjoy your days away.
Bear Enjoy the weekend
Glad the scan went well, David, Please update us on the results, I hope its good news
Watching unstoppable
Love the movie, I’ve probably watched it 37 times this year, I don’t know why but its so fun to watch
I watch Unstoppable just to laugh at it, but to each there own @GabeTehGameh. I prefer Burt Lancaster in “The Train”. I’ve watched it probably hundreds of times over my life.
Fun fact: The brake sounds from the model series of Thomas The Tank Engine (up to season 5) are actually sourced from The Train. I grew up watching Thomas, and just learned this recently… you can actually say he got me hooked on trains!
Howdy diners! Janie, grilled ham and cheese please, with a chocolate malt.
TF, congrats on the nice find!
David, hope the results when they come is good news.
Lucky dog. I went in for one a couple weeks ago and waited over 30 minutes just to get called back to see the vampires. (and they weren’t busy )
Graduation day today! Bitter sweet, but so are many parts of watching your kids grow up.
Trying to convince the wife that we don’t need to do any yard work this weekend. I mean, it’s worth a try. Especially if it buys me time for the layout.
Have a great Friday everyone!
Good morning from the sunny West Coast, 14c.
Got the wife out the door to the dog show, she has about a 80 minute drive to get there. When we had the trailer I would take it out and park it on the show grounds for the four days of the show. She could then party with all the other doggie people.
Had my usual good sleep last night. We are sleeping in the guest bedroom because of the reno’s going on in our master bathroom. It is only a Queen size bed instead of a king and my wife can throw some mean elbows with no escape.
Clean living, the purple is Rem sleep.
WOW! That’s 85.1 hrs. At $25.00 an hour working, that’s $2127.50.
I remember when my kids were both in University and were home for the Christmas holidays. They were both sitting at the dining room table on their laptops typing at warp speed. I was watching hockey and when they stopped I asked what they were doing?
Captioning was their answer, I said, what? They were captioning movies and TV shows. You know that button you can push that brings up the dialog on screen. They did a lot of big movies and TV shows and got paid good money for doing it. My son would do it on the plane while going back and forth to Ottawa and my daughter would do it on the ferry. No wonder they never asked for money. They saw a lot of TV shows and movies before they were ever released to the public.
Just waiting on deliveries for the reno and I am out of here to the 100 acre wood.
These rail cars are on a siding, however due to a high snow pack the lake has risen to a very high level.
All the best to all.
Afternoon Y’all! hoping to get some modelling done tonight. I’ve got a bit of work but nothing i’ll take too long on hopefully. I’m also planning on laying out my layout.
David, Love the scrapyard! Good luck on the scan.
Brent, Hope you slept well! I was up until 0100 lol.
Track fiddler, Enjoy your wine and trip!
Bear, Have a great time on the farm!
Gabe, I’ve been there with photos lol.
Good evening Diners. Flo, please could I have a Pint of San Miguel, thankyou.
It’s been another day of working on the Backyard Fence in red-hot sun, but with a cool northerly breeze, which veered to a southerly breeze - but it remained a cool 10C.
Here is a segment of my ‘Things to do List’.
- Garden Lawns, Treat, Weed & Feed - to do
- Backyard: Fence, Treat, Posts & Planks - to do
- Backyard: Fence, Post Caps, Cut Plywood, Treat, Screw-on - Done
- Backyard: Fence, Fit RSA at Washing Line Post, Dig Hole & Postcrete - Done
This is a 90x90x12x1.8m (3.5"x3.5"x1/2"x6’-0") length of RSA, painted black.
I had to set it in a wide, shallow ‘Postcrete’ Base, since I could not dig too deep, due to whatever it was/is my Neighbour had down there, already. 1" layer of 3/4" Gravel on top.
Tomorrow (Saturday) it will be 20C southerly, but heavy rain, a.m.
As the saying goes, Warm, but wet - Cold, but dry’.
However, we have had no significant rain since April 14th15th, this year, so it will probably be good news, especially for Farmers and ducks.
I’ve been thinking that with my layout looking like a Construction-site at the moment - I might draw-up a Model Railroad list of of ‘Things to do’, by Necessity or other Priority.
There are mountains of stuff, all mounting-up and at least the rain at the weekend will let catch-up, I hope. Paul.
Yes. The fence can wait.
got my package from Walthers ,still waiting for air brush
Hope everyones having a good day. I just had to make an appointment to get new tires on my car, ouch.
