KMT Parts ??

I need 2 couplers and a truck-end for a KMT freight box car. Olsen’s has couplers (expensive), but no trucks or truck parts.

Anyone know of other sources?

You may want to try replacing the whole truck unit with a Lionel replacement, they cost about $14.00 for a pair of O gauge replacement trucks. I think KMT and Lionel frames should be close to the same size and that will work.

I have purchased AMT/KMT replacement trucks from a guy in Ill. His name is Tim Weigard and his email address is hornedfroghobbies@yahoo.com The ones I bought were black and like brand new. I believe he wanted $16 for 2 or $8 a piece. I have talked to him on the phone and he is a good guy to do business with.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I’ll check out those sources.

Switching to Lionel trucks would probably improve coupler compatibility with most non AMT rolling stock, but would require some adaptation for mounting to the AMT frames I would think. Plus I Kind of like the realism of the AMT trucks and couplers, along with, of course the cars.
