Locked out of news wire

Even though have subscribed to Trains mag for over 15 years suddenly locked out and cannot even log in.

It’s now called something different, most people need to access it via the ‘unlimited’ pass, and they are supposedly working on magazine-subscriber access but the link to it doesn’t work yet.

Hope it is not another 6 months lockout with denials same as the forum access was.

Why would they go to the new format before they had subscriber access working? They have a notice line at the top of the screen that says for more info on the change click “here”. But when you click there, there is no further info.

I got the same thing the last 3 days. Clearing cookies didn’t help.

at 1315h EDT got in then was blocked in a few minutes

I am still getting a 400 Error after a week usuing Google browser on my Windows laptop. I tried on my Android phone, got to read one news story, and than got the 400 Error when I tried to look at a second story.

I haven’t had any problems with the Newswire. I use a laptop with Chrome, and I have an Android phone.

This weekend had 3 times could get to the News Wire general . Then got the 400 code when trying to access any story. Why should I sign up for Trains.com unlimited when have no idea how long this will take to clear up? After being locked out of Trains forum ( this forum) for months last year how can there be any guarantee that it will not happen for myself and others on News Wire?

another frustrating day of confusion. Yesterday got on news wire, selected a story, asked to sign in but would not take sign in. Next time could not get past main header of news wire. Last time got the 400 error immediately. Same today.

After reading the comments, I tried again. Everything is working like it should.

Have you contacted customer service?

I’m logged in on a Windows 11 laptop and if I use Firefox of Chrome, have ZERO issues reading or access Newswire. As we used to say in the Army, sounds like a headspace and timing issue.

First locked out on phone only. After a few days, then locked out on tablet also. Can still get in on laptop, but how long will that last? Subscriber for decades! This is NOT how to treat long-term supporters. Unless this is fixed soon, and I mean SOON, I won’t be renewing any more.

Mr. Mincemoyer seems to think I’m wanting “special treatment”. I’m only asking for access to what I have paid for. Look at all the other posts here. Mr. Mincemoyer seems to be one of the FEW with zero problems - he should be grateful, but understand that MANY of us subscribers ARE having problems, and it IS on Firecrown’s end. Is Mr. Mincemoyer a Firecrown employee???

I have also been a user for decades and I as I said above, I have ZERO issues accessing or reading articles from the News Wire. Sounds like you’re asking for special treatment there Woomer (doesn’t appear to be a Firecrown issue)

I have no other computer issues except for Pro/NewsWire so methinks its Firecrown.

I an windows 10 IE , Could be something at Firecrown was changed so maybe just these users??? Worked fine until a couple weeks ago,

I have once again contacted Firecrown for resolution. This is a recurring problem, not a one-time deal. They can’t seem to get their act together. They have “fixed” it (temporarily) several times before. We’ll see…

I must be a super-user, logged into to News Wire this AM with no issues, I guess Firecrown likes me. Anyone else reading News Wire with no issues or just me??

Today when the news wire was accessed discovered that the name on the header was not mine. So, somehow identities are crossed. will talk to customer service Monday.
