Modeler’s Spotlight Video for October 14, 2010 – Inside Cody’s Office

hey cody new HO scale Athearn Genesis SD70ACe looks cool!!!

I still contend that in the opening segment you look like the pizza delivery man for “Cody’s Pizza Emporium”.

As always love the show. Keep up the great work.

Great learning . How about simple ways for working on the rr?thanks.

Good job as always. Keep it up.

Nice show! Liked it alot!!!

Fantastic show as usual. Keep 'em coming! By the way, what recommendations do you have for someone who is weathering a structure with pastels for the first time?

Great show Cody! How about websites for dimensions for cars? I really want a book, but don’t have $100 for one. Please answer. Thanks!

Hey Cody - As someone that would love to build a layout, but hasn’t the space nor ever seems to have the time, what suggestions would you have to get into the hobby? Build a structure? Plan a layout for a “rainy” day?

yup keep the beard cody great show. when are you going to show some on30 stuff model mainly HO but bulding some on30 mods with a local club.

hey great show Cody and the beard looks great. the new athern SD70ACe looks good…wish there was somthing in n scale w/ that detail. great show once again, and i lorned a new word…haha

Another great episode!

Cody, do you have any tips for applying long decals? I was recently decaling an Island Model Works PL42AC kit, and destroyed some of the striping, forcing me to spend the money on a second decal set.
Thanks,
Joe

Love the show. Keep up the good work.

I actually liked the opening with the freight cars. What ever happened to that? It’s nice to see Cody at the beginning, but surely you all could find out something more interesting than following Cody from behind through the Kalmbach offices?
How about a shot of a model train on the MRT heading past a picture of Cody on a grain elevator on the beer line, or past his picture on a trackside barn? (After all, he is a man outstanding in his field?!)

Cody’s office is always well done, except for the sound on sound equipped locomotive demonstrations. The poor sound does not measure up to my expectations from Kalmbach.

Excellent as usual Cody!! Obviously your wife likes your new beard otherwise it would off by now…LOL

Good show as always. Always something to learn. “lorn”? I do have a question… how about mounting a small ride-along microphone to a car right behind the engine when showing off a sound decoder? It’s not too cool losing the sound as the engine passes directly in front of the camera! Just a suggestion.

Cody:

When will your website videos be compatible with my iPod Touch? I occasionally want to see the videos when I’m away from home in a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Thanks,
Bob
