I’ve been busy lately and haven’t done so much work. But the things I’ve done have been more complicated then scenery and single mainline!
Here are a few pics from my station that is being constructed.
Comments are as usual welcome.

Lillen - You definitely have an affinity for things long and grey.[(-D] That is one handsome structure, and would be a centerpiece on anyone’s layout.[tup]
WOW!! Between the station and the “U boat” you’ve got one impressive layout underway!![tup][tup]
Very impressive!
Keep the updates coming.
Since I just ordered ten grey T-shirt(witch had a few to may X’s in them) maybe it’s time to get some therapy for my love of grey! [:D]
Thanks for all the kind words. I can hardly wait until I get some lights installed but to be somewhat logical about this that Will have to wait for some time due to practical reasons. Suggestions on commercially available and suitable lights would be appreciated.

Holy smokes, Magnus! You sure do things in a big way! It looks like the terminal will be a showpiece when it is done…eye-popping. How long is the terminal complex?
How are the Fast Tracks turnouts doing for you?
-Crandell
Magnificent passenger platform. Lights. How about lamps hanging down from the ceiling in regular rows? A big bare bulb, with cone shaped or corrogated reflector above it. I’d look for a string of the tiniest Chrismas tree lights I could find. Discard the Christmas tree wire, it’s too thick to look right. Rewire with that really thin wire wrap wire. Yard sales often have Christmas decorations, and if you wait for the day after Christmas, the stores just about give the stuff away.
Very cool, Magnus. I can’t wait to see the finished scene!
I’m going to look in to that. I’ve also considered lamps that would be standing on the plattforms.

I like it BIG, what can I say. I guess you could say that if I’m doing something, I have a tendency to do it all out. Since passenger operations is the main thing for me thats where the attention will be. I just love big passenger terminals!
The Fast track turnouts are astounding. Easy to build and so cheap. It really makes huge projects like this possible for a student with kids and unemployed wife! I tried mass production of them and I got the time down to 18 minutes when building ten at a time. But that makes me insane since it’s so tedious. I will be making less at once in the future. So far I’ve only built #8’s but I’m seriously considering getting a #6 jig as well for industry tracks. But I really like the #8’s and I don’t think they eat that much space at all. Of course the greatest thing about the turnouts is that they are so smooooth! You can not even see where the frog is by looking at plastic truck(metal wheels) going through the turnout despite having NO weight on it. Truly amazing in comparison to other turnouts I’ve tried.

Wow that is some impressive canopy!!
Lillen–
That is REALLY impressive! Makes me wish that my own MR didn’t run through such little-bitty towns, LOL! [:D]
Beautiful job [bow]

Have you considered putting the unemployed wife to work assembling switches?
Good idea! But not very probable. She won’t even let me do them in the house due to the filings that I admittedly spread around the house. Some what I can understand here. My wife shows no intrest what so ever for this huge project. But I’m happy enough that she respects my wishes and actually allowed me to not only construct this railroad but also build the entire house that it’s located in for it and it alone. She hasn’t even protested about me setting a computer and flat screen TV in there so I think I will be pushing my luck if I insist on help with this.
Magnus
That’s impressive! Looks like your station is about the size of my n-scale layout. [:)]

It is about 100 inches long if I dont remember wrong.
Magnus
Wow. Actually, then, its longer than my layout! [:)]
I’ve used a bunch of these Miniatronics lights to illuminate my subway stations:
I’m using 16-volt bulbs, running them at 10 volts. I ran a pair of bare wires the length of the station, and then just soldered the wires from the bulbs to the main feeds. This station is covered, so you can’t see the wiring. You could do the same under your train shed roof.
Those looks very nice. Where are they available from.
I really like the way the lights look.
Magnus
Hello are you sure that’s a passenger station and not a parking shed for all those big boys. [:-^] It looks like a nice start do have a prototype for it or is it a freelance job? How big is your layout going to be ? Thanks Frank
