New Camera, UP Olympic Unit

I went from a Kodak 2.0 M.P. CX6230 to a Hewlett Packard Photosmart 945 with 5.3 M.P. The first unit that it took a photo of just happened to be UP 2001, one of the 2001-2002 Winter Olympic units at the crew change point on the Chester Sub. at Dexter, MO. This was the first time I’ve gotten photos of the 2001, I’ve seen it 3 times. I’ve photographed the 2002 twice, seen it about 4 times. They evaded me for 4 years and I got 'em now! It seemed like they came by at night, a mile away, while I was at a funeral (in sight of thra tracks) or without a camera (or had one and no film!). The unit was freshly washed and on the point. I was railfanning with a couple friends from Sperry Rail Service (Bergie probably has an idea who I am talking about). That unit sure looks good after over 4 years of wearing that scheme, WSOR sure did a good paint job!

Hey, great catch! It’s always nice to get those “special” locomotives in a photo… [:D][tup]

GREAT SHOT Zach !!![:D] Keep those coming !!

…A great photo.

WOW!! Sure beats the last time I saw that one. It was dark and he was going about 45mph.[:(] That is a great shot Zach!

SWEET !!!

Sounds like the Railfaning Gods smiled on you that day…

I guess you could saw I saw the 2001 2 times, and the 2002 1 time. The only time I saw both of them lashed togeather was at Horicon, WI, when they were in the process of being painted. They were both painted straight blue. The time I saw the 2001 was last year, at Rochelle, IL. They said it was the first time it went through the park durring the day. Good Shot! Keep em’ coming!

I got my first pic on railpictures with it…I was just joking around!
