New to the site and thought I would say hi. I have a small layout at home, 4’ x 16’, which I recently got motivated to play with. I have it up a few years now, pretty basic, 2 ovals, 1 side track and an elevated subway set. Have a NYC theme going for back home. Recently spent some time at the B&O museum in Bmore and swung by the MTH headquarters in Columbia, MD with my son so I got motivated to clean up the track and play a bit. Here are a few pics:
Looks great. Welcome to the forum. Drop in on the ‘Coffee Pot’ thread at your convenience.
First off —> [#welcome].
You’ve got a fine layout there. With the painted backdrop, are your roots near the Big Apple. Also, with all that NYC stuff, you’ll be an instant fav of BK.
Thx for the welcome, yep, born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, gotta give the Govt another 7 yrs and maybe will move further south to the Carolinas then. Didnt know what line to go with when I started the hobby so I stuck to the NYC colors and when MTH came out with the subway set, well I had no choice to pick it up, grew up on those things…
Welcome to the forum, even if you are a NYC fan. [:)]
Seriously, that is a very nice layout. And I do like the NYC color scheme, even if they were the PRRs main competition before they joined forces in that noble fiasco the Penn Central.
Welcome to the forum especially since you are a NYC fan!
Layout looks good. Good to have you aboard!
