I have been trying to do some research about that expensive medicine I mentioned yesterday but the more I learn the more confused I get. I finally called the doctor’s office and spoke to his assistant about the price. I told her that I could not afford this type of drug so the ball is in their court. She was not entirely sure that he was suggesting the type of medicine I thought it was but said she would get back to me. I told her that I was getting all worked up over this. I have decided to stop worrying about it and wait to see what unfolds. There is nothing I can do right now anyway until I get some better information from
a. My insurance provider
b. Medicare part D
c. The doctor
My friend Larry and his wife are going on a tour of the Fall colors in New England this weekend. I hope they don’t get rained out by hurricane Joaquin.
Weather guesser says possible showers here in SoCal this weekend. Bring in on! We need it.
Just sent beef to butcher shop. Now thinking about back to bed or breakfast…Spent last evening watching The Real McCoy’s on You Tube. Did a check on the pot befor bed and found it deserted.
Looks like the storm went east. Today’s all day hard rain has been down graded to cold with showers later today and tomorrow. How are you guys on the coast making out?
Built fire in Mom’s house and turned the oil boiler on at home. Got leaking pumps at both places to deal with today. I’ll have to install the last of my stock of bearing assembly’s I bought at a heating supply going out of bussiness auction about 8 years ago. Since they all need only seals I’m goung to lookat how hard it is to replace them. Cheapest new bearing assemblie’s I can find are near $100.
Archery season for deer opens here today. I’ll bet there are a lot of wet Robin Hood wannabe’s out there. Last hillclimb of the year should prove interesting tomorrrow.
…2 ponies, 2 alpaccas, 2 border collies, 2 frogs, 2 pink flamingos… Yep, been that kinda wet in the Mid-Atlantic region. Carolinas are gonna get a double dosage. Chief is gonna have two lake houses now.
Youngest Princess has her first Homecoming dance tonight. Where did the [O] go?
Mom and Dad made it safely to NC - streets are flooded but the house is ok for now
55F with rain and wind - this thing will miss us by 350+ miles to the east
We were under a drought warning and this will fix that mess…
Purchased a box of older lionel engines and some Atlas O track, I cleaned up the 3035 with a toothbrush and liquid had soap and the main body looks good but the front is a grayish color…maybe it was replaced? I’ll see about painting it semi gloss black but then I’ll have to strip and paint the whole engine…I’ll add a LED headlight, the smoke unit is there, need to clean and lube the motor.
SubBob - N is too small for me----I can’t see it…LOL!
Leaving Thursday for FLA to see my Princess…Fife-Where DID the time go???
Morning. Rain has let up. 3.25 inches for this event. Soggy out. Temps 58. Suppoe to go back up for a few days. Dry out Tuesday they say. Breezy with some gusts [not from hurricane].
Rich, tell Mom and Dad to wait it out. Nothing finer than to be in Carolina. Especially on the Outer Banks. Actually hurricane is out to sea and not hitting us.
Fifey, glad it is going more north east. Then Maryland is not getting it too.
Got a 4 to 6 PM tour at Food Lion collecting food and $$ for Backpack Buddies.
Sat. 87 Sun. 73 with a 80% chance of rain, we need the rain desperatly and it hasen’t been 73 in a long time.
On my new 98 Integra GS-R I could tell the motor was moving around too much so I took it to my mechanic. He called and said it would be $541, it needed 4 of the 5 mounts replaced and that included new rack and pinion boots it needed.
I like this car and plan to keep it a long time but now I wish I had asked if some of the mounts weren’t that bad and could have been reused, each mount parts price was $73.
Quiet day at work Friday. Still was tired when I came home. Went to watch “my” soccer girls win their last regular season game, which left them at 7-7-2 for the season. Grandson’s team won as well, 3-1. Weather was absolutely horrible. Went to local historical society to see their exhibit on the 50s. No trains but still informative. Talking to the director about their Halloween program and wound up volunteering to bring the Halloween train and assorted other items for a one day display. That will be fun. Got a “dopey grin” email from my Norwegian soccer friend with pictures of her sister’s wedding. I hope everyone has a good day.
Afternoon all. Raining. [banghead] Been lazy today. Need break. Will go out on errands with Wifey later this afternoon.
Jon, got 4 1/2 grocery carts full of food and some cash. Real good. You see some things unusual. Had a elderly black lady in poor clothing come out of the store and give me a dollar. Some folks drive up in high dollar SUV’s and ignore you. [makes you think of the “widow’s mite”.]
Got a call from a guy who is friend’s with Hunters Haven. going up to look at the lake house. [:D]
Mornin’ boys. Sunny & 52 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Had the whole crew here for dinner last night, including Fifepup’s new squeeze, for Wifey’s lasagna. Just got 3 bags of garden waste out to the curb for recycling day.
Aloha. Cool, grey and foggy so far. Feel sorry for anyone flying out of O’Hare today. Glad the Chief is warm and dry. Hope RT is too. We do backpack-buddies too! Mmmm, lasagna. Though I can’t combine, I have homemade soup for lunch today. No real sailing this weekend - it was just too blustery for the dingys - though I helped the marina crew sail two of the boats up a creek to be backdrops for wedding photos - Amazed how little these boats draw. Glad the Bears won and sad the Irish lost. Here is a moody photo (if you can see it). March 1943. “Gallup, New Mexico. A train on the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe between Belen and Gallup, New Mexico.” Medium-format negative by Jack Delano for the Office of War Information.
Figured out the first steps in mounting up the actuators for the sanders on the trolley. Next Friday I need to go talk to the ‘metal-to-metal’ guys about modifying the linkage.
Replaced the throttle shafts in the Corvan, hooked up the PCV system, and put on the new exhaust. The new shafts greatly helped the idle issues. Drives like a whole new machine. And the new exhaust sounds great. Nice quiet rolling rumble at idle. Need to go back to the same muffler shop that did the work on the car and see about welding on a tailpipe.
N-gauge move is next weekend. Lookking forward to that.
Fife RT is fine thanks for asking we didn’t move out of Columbia to late boy are they getting it and we know were we lived probably flooded now our house is probably fine but were sure theres others in there are flooded there where a couple we knew if it was a storm would so we know they are totally flooded from this.
This was really bad in Columbia.
Hey all been a quiet day. nothing really going on hope all had a good day.
