OCTOBER [fall] COFFEE POT 11 years old. Grits and sweet ice tea for the southern gents. Coffee and donuts for the Yankees.

Aloha. Grey and drizzly … and warmer. Glad you’re OK, RT. Class tonight. Nothing else exciting going on. Fife, did you see this?

Gloomy here too. But no drizzle. 60s today.

cnw1995 - …if I were the captain of a Gunboat 66, sure. I take pride in my callossed hands, thank you.

Calif is the 5th state to pass assisted suicide, at least this dosen’t cost me money.

My wi Fi didn’t work this morning.

After Vintage senors at church I’m taking my 88 CRX Si to smog check, pray that it passes, it barely passed in 2013. Smog check is always stressful.

Good morning all !

Finally got some rain and cool days/nites([yeah]) but the bad news is that it is supposed to get up to 100+ by the weekend . [sigh]

Did get my new decking down in the backyard, now need to wait for it to dry out from the rain so I can put some stain/sealer on it. Got a lot of skunk eye looks from the better half for working on it all day with very few breaks. Won’t tell her she was rite but I was totally exhausted saturday nite and all day sunday, unfortunately a very slow recovery rate.

Started work on the halloween garage layout yesterday, plan on rearranging things a bit from what we have done for the past few years.

Last friday was a good run day, no cat-tastrophies.

rt - Glad you’re not a-treadin’ water.

cnw1995 - BTW, this week is the US Sailboat Show in Annapolis. It is to sailors what YORK is to toy train seekers. You would go crazy for all the goodies. No arrows, but leave your shoes on the dock, please.

dougnottalistenintoswmbo… I work for [pi][B]. Just send me a plane or train ticket. [(-D]

Fife, Got a real chuckle from a story that was on the news just a little bit ago. Seems a couple decided to rent a sail boat to celebrate their first anniversary. Guess it went well for awhile that is until they beached it by the Hotel Del on Coronado. Hope they took out insurance when they rented it. An anniversary to remember or someone will really be in the doghouse !

Fife I’m getting the feeling I’m not out of the woods yet althou I thought I was as they say as it heads down the rivers from the north us south of it still could get flooded now being new to this area I’m not sure how close I’am to some waterways that could flood me out so I’m trying to keep a eye on it the best I can.

Been moving more stuff around today goal is to get the top of the cabinet cleared off so I can lift the top to put a couple of spacers under it where they are needed so the top trawers don’t bind as they are now.

Other than that nothing new here hope all doing well talk to you all later

rt - Just put together an exit strategy, amigo. Savie’?

Good evening all,

Busy day at work. Sewer lines backed up at home, but some one is coming over to unclog them. Hope it is nothing more serious than that. HVAC people supposed to be over tomorrow to finish stuff up. I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Aloha. Supposed to be a bit pleasanter today - I saw a hint of blue sky and didn’t need a jacket this morning. Sending it all off to Points East as Chuck used to say. Class went well tonight. Dog had a bit of an issue with whatever bad thing he ate so came home late to a lot of carpet that needed to be cleaned. First world problem in comparison to so much worse stuff.

Fife, all that automatic stuff would scare the heck out of me. But I get nervous when all the lines are hidden or re-routed back to the cockpit. So much more complicated. Even in that video, if something goes wrong, that seems like far too big a boat to single-hand. But what do I know, as just a dinghy sailor. I have heard of the Annapolis Boat Show. That would be something. There might be something similar out here in Chicago.

Good afternoon all. Thought I better check in again. I’m not on the forum a lot anymore, just can’t find the time. We missed most of the heavy rain here. Daughter & family now live in NC. They’ve had some high water in spots but nothing like SC & no damage to their homes. Hope all are doing well. BTW, has anyone started a York thread yet? Haven’t found one and only two weeks to go.

John

jefelectric - Always good to hear from you. Yep, we’ve had a couple mentions here about Friday @ 1300.

Good evening all,

Good day at work. Weather was nice. Plumbing working at home. HVAC working in new section, but wife thinks it is too noisy. Picked PE “Letters to Santa” car at dealer on way to watching boys lose in sectional 8-0, as expected. Girls play Thursday. I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning crew. Been real busy Town wise. Sun is out so I will mow at lake house and here.

Wifey headed Nawth to PA and NY with SIL. I have to baby sit.

John, smart daughter to move to NC. We will rehabilitate them.

RT, good luck. You are probably OK.

Dougsnotagrump, hope you are OK.

Fife, take the Yachet out for a port side all guns firing for the sailboat regatta.

Hello all

Clearing off here on the mountain this morning. Looks like a nice day.

Messing around w/ some of the N-gauge I have. Opened up a Minitrix 0-6-0 to clean it last night.

Got to start shifting things around the house this weekend. The big move of the layout is planned for Sunday.

Will pretty much take over the living room of the trailer, but hey, I’m single. Jeff W would be proud:)

Bob

Afternoon fellas

Still alive and kicking, nothing else has changed. [tdown]

I may be able to swing getting up to York on Friday. Still working through some details, but keeping my fingers crossed. Would really like to see they guys again. Miss it.

Take care.

Good afternoon all,

Been running all morning with doctor stuff for the wife. Went to an urgent care place yesterday for what we thought was a boil that needed lancing. They just ordered antibiotics and told her to come back in a few days. Went to my regular family doctor this morning and it turns out to be a tumor on her leg. We were referred to a dermotologist to remove the tumor. We have to go in tomorrow for that. The people at the urgent care misdiagnosed it. Glad we got a second opinion.

later,

Ray

Good evening all,

“My” soccer girls lost 7-0. I do not know what went wrong tonight. It was a shame to end the season on a downer note. Some work was down on the HVAC today, but I am not sure it will make wife happy. Weather was good for game tonight. Work was busier than expected. I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Hello There,

TGIF although it is sad day. Mrs sister lost her battle with cancer last evening. The good part is she is now free of pain and learning what heaven is all about. Thanks for all your prayers.

Son is planning to start picking corn today. Hoping for a bumper crop to cover the loss of soy beans but knowing it’s a so so crop.

Work has slowed to a mad dash. Got one of the field people in for a week and got the water from my nose to my neck. I’m sure missing the next couple day will be a slip back down.

Looking forward to York. Who’s coming?

Brent,…how about an update on Christina?

Thought of the Chief the other day. Spotted a pair of F units painted green and white while attending a pre-bid at the Juniata Shops.

Best get my day started.

Prayers for those in need
