OCTOBER [fall] COFFEE POT 11 years old. Grits and sweet ice tea for the southern gents. Coffee and donuts for the Yankees.

I thought it was funny, too.

I don’t get the problem of posting a video of Detroit 3 Railers, so here it is, except something is not letting a video from YouTube to be posted. I would expect it is the super duper forum software. [:-^] Here is the url: https://youtu.be/7zOjdn-o_eA Neat video! Really like those long passenger trains.

Gentlemen. [sigh] Take this outside.

Buckeye - Hope you are feeling better soon, Frank. Sorry we won’t see you next Friday.

Banks - Do they still have that C&O GP9 parked there?

Cool today and more leaves to do.

Submmbob, I rescued the package from the post office. And after putting a new traction tire on her she is at work in the logging yard.

Thanks a lot!!!

Banks there is a long thread on the Model Railroader forum right now on why is Tyco so expensive. Its interesting, some wonder why anyone would want such junk, others put in good wheels and kdee’s and run them, others just collect them.

Hi all,

Back from some vacation travel. Tired and caught a cold on the last day.

Looks like I may have to miss York. Some big train work projects are running behind due to parts availability and supplier issues. So have to double up efforts to make delivery dates. Bummer.

Buckeye - take care! See you in the Spring hopefully.

Banks - So sorry. Our condolences to you and your family [angel]

Ray - [bday] [D] [dinner] [^]

Going to the State Fair of Texas today. Daughter is off so she is coming along (so we can pay). Corny Dogs and Funnel Cakes for all!

Have a great day all!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RAY…[bday]

Kevin you are a good modeler, if you’d take that chip off your shoulder you could be an asset to newer modelers.

Jim - the D3R’s video is great. Nice layout and obviously you guys like passenger trains! Hard to see you through the smoke!

Roy that layout is one large loop all the trains were running on it. The orangr DT&I was mine. We had 4 trains on there and had room for more but most of the time you can’t see where your train is. I used the horn to follow mine. I did bump one train as I rounded a curve one of the other trains had stopped. Twas fun but you gotta stay alert.

S.J.

Thanks, fife! I was really looking forward to York but I was also looking forward to afterwards seeing the Grandsons in NJ for three days. [sigh]

Happy Birthday, Ray! Wishing you many more. [^]

Thanks SJ, That Santa Fe USRA #123 from Bob has a nice set of drive gears and action for a starter model.

Hey Roy, I was down your way for a week in a place called Springtown west of Fort Worth. Are you anywhere close to there? Chances are if Red beats his fight with the big C I will be going again.

Too windy to burn leaves today. [:S]

Frank it sounds like your on the mends and thats good it is a shame your gonna miss York and to go see your grandsons in N.J. for 3 Days you can do york in the fall but you can still do the Grandsons in a couple of weeks maybe

Morning all not a lot going on here Have oven on and biscuits in the oven for breakfast just going to be a light breakfast 2 sausage biscuits got some fresh sausage the other day so need to enjoy it while I can. You all have a good day talk to you all later.

Charlie, I will have one of these as well. My favorite drink.

Hello all

Got in a small box over the weekend and opened it up last night. Oh boy, lot’s of beautiful diesel power in N gauge. Couple of U-boats, an RSD, an Alco RS-1 (yeah, baby!), and a very impressive SF Dash 80. A few western road cars rounded out the mix. Looking forward to running them on the new layout.

Thanks Fife! and enjoy those K units. They are beautiful locos. Cool idea to open the box up w/ the grandson!

Couple of days on the hill and then we start the week on/week off rotation.

Kev - the detail on that 0-8-0 is impressive and the drive rod linkage is great. Will look good in slow motion working your logging area.

Bob

Kevin,

As I posted in the reporting forum, I didn’t see an attack, just an attempt at making a joke. I didn’t see any reason to delete the post.

Yeah Bob, a Coke or Pespsi is about as close to COLA as the workers of today will ever get. [;)]

Thanks guys for the birthday greetings. My oldest son and his wife took us out for a birthday lunch a day early yesterday because he had to work today. My youngest son is home today so we will have another birthday dinner with him tonight. My grandson has his birthday next Saturday but he is in college. Will celebrate his later in the month. I am 79 now and not counting anymore. I never thought I would get this far.

Sad news about our USC football coach getting fired over drinking problems. I wish him a good recovery but the team needs a sober coach.

Have a good day,

Ray[dinner]

Hello there,

The funeral went well. Thanks for your condolences.

Buckeye, I’ll pray all goes well. Was looking forward to getting together.

Fife. …the GP9 is still at the Horse Shoe Curve where the K4 was. This is in Hollidaysburg, a few miles south of Altoona and the county seat of Blair county.

Roy. …say it ain’t so.

V8…thanks for the tip. I’ll check that out. I collect only early Redox (TYCO is in the bottom right corner) The trucks, frames and steam engines were metal

Best move on

Good evening all,

As good as we played a month ago in the 0-0 tie, we were that much more awesome and more in a 11 v 11 matchup tonight. Three quick goals in the first 10 minutes set the tone as we cruised to a 7-1 win. We passed, we talked, we defended and we shot our way to a very satisfying victory. I did the entire 50 minutes and my legs are paying for it now, but it was great on the field. I made some nice touches, even received a pass or two, and did well for the limits I had. If we keep hitting on all cylinders, we can win the title. I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Morning. Pretty day out. Clean out greenhouse and get ready for Yankee cold.

Hope all are OK. Buckeye, get well!!! Too much of that old man.

Sorry Banks. Hang in there. Also, getting a little old like me to be playing a lot of Un-American sports.

Loved the Cola thingy. Think I’ll send that to my Legislators. State retirees didn’t get a COLA this year and its our money. They have to apporve. Our retirement system is rich.

Ray, belated Happy Birthday.

Have a good one.
