Did anyone get the consists of the CSX and NS Kentuckey Derby specials?
Hello. Welcome to the forum.
This shot shows the CSX train, with only 2 F40 locomotives. Last year all 4 ran.

Look through these, from different years-

Dale…Unless that photo of the 2 CSX engines is in a switching mode, it’s strange to see the first car looks like a “theater car”…as in observation for company executives, etc…turned with that “window” end to the engines…
It must have been a fun job washing the window after that run.[:O]
At least it wasn’t behind steam.[;)]
Good eye, Quentin.
The “new” NS locomotives sure look sharp on their train-
…Boy Dale, that’s a nice photo…over in my general part of the country.
Thanks for the links Dale.

Thanks for the excellent photos. The new CSX color scheme reminds me of the last days of the B&O, except that the blue is lighter. (A C&O fan could probably say the same).
I saw a set of them on the BNSF behind my house, very nice.
Another welcome to NYC#25.
NICE TO SEE THAT THE NORFOLK SOUTHERN CAN STILL RUN A MIXED TRAIN, EVEN IN THIS DAY AND TIME[wow]!

I guess this makes the 'Bean Conters Happy…Thanks, Dale fr the links.
Why is there a modern locomotive behind the Classics?
NS 4271 isn’t out of the shop, yet.
