Prototype Rail Op Session 2012
Good old western railroading at it’s best. Both giants on one nice layout! Good place to spend an afternoon!
Enjoyable. The operators comments off camera remind me of sessions I attended. Thanks
tripod gents…tripod! Loved the shots though
looks like fun
Who are all those giants walking around in the background? Bet they are a big help in rerailing when called for.
Fun to watch a group doing some “card” work on a layout. We usually don’t get to see this part.
Interesting, enjoyable, and informative … furnish a “shelf” for Andy so he doesn’t have to place the car cards on the scenery (just kidding!) … thanks!
Love to see trains running!!!
Very nice layout. I particularly like the hot metal operations.
Note 10. We feel this in train operations, would like to personally meet this wonder. However, the distance is too large. But here I leave my congratulations.
This video really gives you a feel for what goes on during operations. Great craftsmanship on the layout work. However, I don’t like to see clutter on the scenery and big hands touching the cars - spoils the effect, for me anyway.
I sure would love to hear and see more about Tom Wilson’s buildings!
Very interesting and a nice job. I will have to watch more .
Having worked at an operating railroad museum, I really appreciated watching this. Very close to prototype operations with the hand throws and the manual uncoupling. I got a kick out of the last shot where the crewman threw the switch the wrong way, then realized his mistake and threw it back to the proper route. Used to tell brakemen to get away from the stand after the route was set.
Thank’s for your vid. I am setting up my layout to do this type of operating. Got my wife to watch, now makes explaning easy. Thank’s again.
Thank’s for sharing with us the operation of your r/r. Really fun to watch.
Well done!
Nice vidio as always, would love to see it when it is compleat. Did I see corect all hand laid track ?
very nice great scenery and well run
