(Railroad Track) "Stations of the Cross" - Sedona, Arizona's Chapel of the Holy Cross

One of the rituals of the Catholic Church is a procession to each of the 14 “Stations of the Cross” as part of the Good Friday services - I’ll leave it to others to explain the details of that. But I was very surprised when we visited the notable and scenically sited Chapel of the Holy Cross in Sedona, Arizona - http://www.chapeloftheholycross.com/store/ - this past January to see that its ‘stations’ were literally made from pieces of railroad track - rails and spikes. Below are a few of the photos from that visit. Just goes to show - once again - that you can find traces of the railroad almost anyplace . . . [P.S. apology - a new computer is giving me major editing and formatting hassles here . . . ]

…Very interesting Paul…Spent quite a bit of time with {automotive testing program}, in not too far away Kingman some years ago…Enjoyed that area…desert / different than what I was used to.

And of course injoyed all the business of the Sante Fe RR in that area…

Really like the window view behind the alter, bet some sunrise or sunset services are quite stunning.
