Really!
They’re beginning a line of N scale coaches, to see if the N Scalers will bite.
Not sure of the release dates, but I’m sure the cars will be a huge hit!

This was just announced in their E-mail Newsletter…
It looks like sometime in 2009 for the N scale passenger cars. Good news is the Turbo Train is due in August but the bad news is the LRC is being put on the back burner for awhile.
Any LIRR or Lackawana commuter coaches? I could use a couple of those
I vouch for the email I recieved. Those N scale pax cars are coming.
Also they stated that the second (And third?) Run of Baggage cars is on a boat inbound from China and is expected about June 25th. Second, they indicated that they established a Quality Control Check Team at the China factory and will test EVERYTHING AND…
hold to your seats…
Beef up the packaging to ensure strong resistance to shipping damage.
They tried to model every pipe on those N scale Pax cars. I dont know about you but I would be blind working that small.
Most of the pipes are molded on - there’s no way we’d be able to do all of them separate. Some of our HO scale pipes are 0.3mm in diameter. If we brought that down to N scale they’d be like hair (and about as rigid as hair, too).
Best regards,
Jason

Jason: I have sent Rapido an email already, but in brief, “toy like features” on your new products are turning away some buyers. For the price we pay for an excellent car, some modellers don’t want this.
Alex
What the hell are you talking about?
Magnetically opening doors?
Rapido, Thank you for the clarification it is much appreciated!
Wave a wand with a magnet near the door and they open up. Somewhat similar to manually opening walthers heavy weight doors.
Take the words used in Advertising with a grain of salt. The last time I bought a ad hook line and sinker was way back in the Tyco train tv days. lolz.
it said that the interior lights are switched by a magnetic wand. seems like a pretty cool feature to me, but could under-track uncoupling magnets cause unwanted switching?
Dave
Only if the car is upside down.
[B)] RESPECT! RESPECT! I mean some modellers don’t want ‘toy like features’ included in their highly detailed, expensive models, such as smoke machines.
Actually I believe its a steam machine!
I know, but what exactly is in it if it doesn’t leave residue and it helps “clean tracks”. I personally don’t care about having it or not. It can be cool, and if you don’t want to have it, remove it or just don’t use it! I was talking about my fellow club members who didn’t like the steam generator.
