Re: COFFEE POT #11 [September], for all to take a drink and chat. Welcome all posters. 4 yrs old and still going.

Aloha all. Beautiful fall day here. Going to return an extra set-top box to ATT now that one of our TVs died - quite the process to return it but since they charge $7 a month for it, I can’t get rid of it fast enough. I’m also looking into going canoeing down the Fox River sometime this weekend with the middle boy. Soccer practice tonight with the youngest. Oh yeah, and work too.

Good Morning

We have sunshine and 70s for the week.

I am sore and congested, me thinks I have a cold. So right now no plans for the day. Enjoy your Wednesday…S.J.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill…

It is a sunny 60 degrees. Going up to 80 today, with lots of sunshine.

Today is a busy day. I have a bunch of errands to run. Then some quality time, later, relaxing. Not much else new, here.

Dining car arrived from “Points West”, and we had the usual for breakfast.

Y’all have a great Wednesday.

Chuck

Wow! Pot #11 is one day old and is on page 3.[tup]

I like the suit Chief. Have you worn it to a school board meeting yet. It would fit right in with those Fat Cats.

Jon - We only have a crawl space under the farm house. I had to have a separate building for the trains. But that has worked out fine.[:D]

Don - Your life is never dull. I’ll bet you don’t get bored.

Have a great one. Brutus, I am ready and waiting!

Good Morning,

Canoeing down the Fox River, boy I could handle that ! Took Chris white water rafting when he was 10, went with the YMCA, he ended up going out of the raft. I grabbed him by the back of the neck on the Life Jacket. Man did the guide ever yell at me for risking loosing an oar. Needless to say he wasn’t a Dad.

Decided to take the day off (comp day), do lawns, clean some oil off the drive way, etc. Wife says “You Nuts”, look how orange it is outside, the air is bad, IF your staying home, STAY in the Trainroom. So my day has been replanned for me. As Doug would say, “Oh Drats !”

Hope to hear good news from Steve today, re: the interview!

Well thers a funny thing about that… I had in my mind that the interview was today , posted that yesterday, lost sleep over it last night, then woke up this morn. was figureing how to get my wife to her job and have time to get to the interview (cause the santafe is still broke so we only have one car) when she said today is wed. your interview is tomorrow the 3rd. Shes right of course. I guess I was trying to rush things. So now I am just waiting till tomorrrow. …Steve

Steve - LOL! Why is it that women can remember their schedule, plus our’s, as well as every other person’s she knows? My wife is the same! I can’t remember what I did yesterday, what I’m doing today, nor what I have planned for tomorrow… [banghead]. Good luck on the interview!

Hey! Good news today. No it ain’t weather related, still 100+* today and a bit humid. [tdn] Atlas is going to be visiting later this month with the new I.R. San Diego Trolley.

Me likey. [tup]

Need a little help guys. I’m working up an idea for halloween, looking for a bendable/posable Dracula doll kinda like a Barbie but not near as tall. Watching a few on E-Bay that aren’t quite what I am looking for but might have to settle on.

Anybody seen any or idea of someplace to look? Unable to find any at the major toy or general merchandise retailers.

Well Don, you beat me to it. I was going to suggest a upCHUCK-E-Cheese outfit. Had a busy day today so far and still have plenty to do. Have several cases that will keep me here till tonight. Call can get old real fast.

Bob, let’s hope that it is just reflux and that with some meds you will be up and about without difficulty. Keep in mind about the elevated bed as it does work. Also hope that the diabetes issue was transient and perhaps that diet will keep things in check. The symptoms from the reflux seem odd, but then again, we have seen a number of oddities from it.

Chief, you need to see about having the ceremonies in which you must don your suit held in more reasonable times of the year. Perhaps November!

We kept my son home today as he was running a fever and has had lots of congestion. Hope that it is short lived and that he is up and about by morning. Don’t want him to miss too many days as we have a trip coming up and that will eat up the days he is allowed to have off.

Hope everyone has a Blessed Day.

Doug D.–that trolley is excellent! I could see having a long loop in our next layout with several Trolley’s. My wife has a LaJolla business trip scheduled the first week of November, I might join her if everything works out here. There’s a time from the Nov. 1–Dec. 1 where it actually feels like I’m retired.

Good afternoon all, had a nice surprise visit form my East Coast brtoher out here on business. He took us out to dinner last night at the Outback. Had not been there before. Good steak and nice coconut shrimp appetizers.

Dennis thanks for the explanation about sleep apnea. My brother in law had that. Seems to be more common these days. Maybe they are just finding it better than earlier times now.

I’ve been fooling around with old technology again with my music equipment. Something not right with tape player/recorder. Was getting a loud hum from the receiver through the speakers when trying to play or record on deck 2 of an old Fisher Tape Deck. Tried different locations for connecting plugs between tape deck and receiver and CD player. Found one combination where noise goes away and I can play tapes OK now but it still does not seem to record from either the CD player or from another tape in deck 1. I just had this system overhauled last December and new belts and a cleaning on the tape deck.

Took short walk this morning against my better judgement on account of the bad air. AQMD says our area was moderate. Probably should stay in with my breathing problems. I will wait until it gets better outside.

New carpet coming today for family room. Spent all morning getting all I could out of the room and unloading legal book case so it could be moved. That took quite a while. Moved all my music equipment too. Left all the heavy stuff for the carpet people to deal with.

D Baker, hope you got your computer problem fixed.

Later, Ray

Evening all. Was nice and low humidity. Grass mowed here and at widow lady’s. Things ready for trip to the lake. Got to go to Home Depot [as they still have some $$$ on the card they gave me] and pickup 10 big bags of Quicrete and 2 mobile home anchors. First I have to go to Tractor Supply and get their drill press that is on sale. Then give Frankie my workbench top one that is almost new. Then hit the road to the lake. The concrete mix and anchor are for me to dig two big holes right at water’s edge, put anchor in each one and mix up two big batches of concrete. When the water comes back up this winter, we will use them for anchors for the dock. Chat later. Got to download photos of the famous school site showing rock and old grave sites.

BTW: when you post a picture of Buckeye the RAT, be sure you show it as BUCKEYE THE OHIO SEWER RAT.

Steve,

Good luck with the interview.

Brent,

Trust me, you need Fallout 3.[;)] It is amazing. If you’d like, I could send you some links to some videos of gameplay. I’d post them here, but I don’t want to take the chance of potentially offending anyone as it is an M rated (18+) title.

Laz,

One thing that I disovered about college is that it is very easy to burn yourself out if you take too many higher level courses at the same time. Last semester was like that, and I just couldn’t take it after awhile. I took Computer Networking, Controls, Calculus II, and RF Communications, and that was way too much stress for me. Fortunately, things are much easier this semester. My longest day this semester is 8AM-10:45AM.[:D] It beats the 8AM-8:45PM Mondays of last Fall.

I had planned to get more work done on the layout today, but I never got to it as some jerk apparently decided to use a key to leave me a present on the driver’s side quarter panel of the Sunfire while I was in class this morning.[:(!] They only cut through the clear and partially into the basecoat, so that is good in a way as it wasn’t as much of a hassle as it could have been. It took most of the afternoon to fix. The rollers arrived for the 16B, so I’ll get that done in the near future. I’ll get some pics of my layout progress asap.

that me the blue and also said that my O2 level was low because of it. said I did momentarly pause breathing but main concern was O2 level was low.

Good Evening

I rested today. But I did enjoy the sunny 70s.

I thumbed the new OGR but haven’t finished CTT yet. I shall wait for Brutus and the thingy so lite the fuse and I will grab the banilla…S.J.

Probe - I would, but I hardly have time to breathe right now, let alone play video games!

Was working on the project tonight and I just realized I have a huge bump on my leg… showed it to Susan… ‘Oh come on, that is just a little rash’! Yeah the thing is the size of 1/2 a baseball! Gotta love my all caring wife! [#dots]

Jim - ever play Left4Dead? I LOVE to play that game in versus mode. It’s like Zombie Football [:0]

I’m reminded today of an old cheesy movie, Rat Pfink a Boo Boo, lol!

My friend Marty had to come in to work today. Our Personnel office told his insurance that he didn’t work for us. Can you believe it?! Man, when it rains it pours [banghead]

Nice chat with RT tonight [tup]

TARDIS is ready and Mike and Pat, you guys are bright on the screen! Let’s get going!

Brutus, your wife is still in my prayers. Steve, still prying for a sucessful interview.
