Recently I Saw . . . . . . .

Two Brand-new CSX GEVO’s and the SD70ACe[^]

a rather dirty CSX AC4400CW #48 and CSX SD70Mac #4777

3 Chessie hoppers

Seen in Orlando…
2 CP rail dash 9’s[:D]
a rock island blue covered hopper (really faded)
several auto racks
Three or four CSX Geeps.
A Conrail SW

And a question…
Is it usual for Canadian engines to come this far south?

Two newly painted Central Oregan & Pacific RR locos numbered 4073 and 4074 (SD40s). [:D] [:D] [:D] They were very nice looking with a red and white paint scheme. [^] [:)]

I also saw a Duck Duck Goose car tonight, it was RRLX 7064. [;)]

A photo from Otto Perry, that has a misprint, it is of a UP 3-12-2. Here it is no joke.http://photoswest.org:8080/cgi-bin/cw_cgi?fullRecord+24205+594+18842+12+0

I don’t know where WCtransfer saw his, but the ones I saw were on the CP. They came from Thunder Bay, ON and are headed for New Mexico! Prolly got interchanged to BNSF in Chicago.

Those were actually ex-CN units owned by Alstom, before CN bought them for WC… so they’re units back on “home” rails… sorta…

A derailed car getting its wheels put back in the right places (I think that’s what it was anyways… six guys walking around in bright orange vests).

Two locomotives, owned by the same railroad, with the same number, in the same consist!

THis morning on the BNSF[ft.Scott Sub] at Cherokee,Ks. an SP unit 9243…Was still “unstickered”, butr someone had shot a black paint panel over the Souther Pacific name obliterating all but the top of the Speed Lettering… Could not tell what the unit was specifically, was stuck back in traffic…

A long DOD train passing by going WB @ Daggett & me wondering how much of my tax dollars was represented in all the equipment I saw on that train. From Bradleys to APC to Trucks to Hummers. I would say by the way the equipment was painted the equipment was destined for the desert somewhere.
