“Eat, Sleep, Fish”…MRR is my way to relax., I also like to model WW2 armour. My other hobby was fishing but that has turned into my full time job! I also like to toy with my 74 CJ5 and spend time in the the gym.

Fishing, mountain biking, and hiking. Here are some shots of a hike we took that also involved railroading (former Colorado Midland ROW through Ute Pass)…
Used to be cross-country skiing until I blew out my right knee about 5 years ago. Besides MR’ing I collect classic films from the '30’s, '40’s and '50’s. Also reading about Ancient History, especially all those fun Barbarians around the First Century.
I suppose you could call herding about 85 High School guys on and off stage for choral performances a hobby (assuming you’re a Masochist), but it’s actually part of my profession.

Tried just about everything…Now mostly, Photography, decoy carving, watercolor painting, woodworking, kayaking, fishing & scratchbuilding rolling stock for my “Garden RR”. Dabbled in old cars (65 Mustang), stained glass, 1/25th scale model car building, camping etc.
I guess my house and yard are my primary other hobby. It’s 5/8 acre with 65 trees; mowing the lawn takes about 5 hours (yes, I have a riding mower). All the pruning, etc fill a lot of time, too. The house is 54 years old and is in need of an interior face-lift; I do that a little at a time. When the weather is warm, my layout room is pretty quiet.
I also build furniture and I’m an officer in our woodworking club (We have a big, well equipped shop - I do most of the training for new members and maintenance/repairs on the equipment).
I was building a '62 street custom VW bug, but it’s finished so I just take it to shows now and then (it’s won a few awards). There are times I think of starting a new car project, but it’s hard to find time to do it.
I’m into analog photography (the kind with film, manual focus, manual exposure).
I ride my 35 year old Italian roadracing bicycle when my knees aren’t too sore (arthritis - man, I miss Vioxx).
I take my wife out for a date at least once a week.
…and there’s my dog - looking after her needs for exercise and attention are alomost like a job, but she’s a lot of fun (American Foxhound who found me at an animal shelter).
I also have a job, doing Human Resourse management for a manufacturing company (retirement is just 10 years away).
I’m on the city council - that has given me a whole new appreciation for government (it ain’t easy).
Looking at the list, where do I find time for trains? It’s in there, somewhere.
I do a little fishing, too.
It’s interesting how many of the same other-than-model railroading activities model railroaders have in common.
Working on cars, RC helicopters and trucks, DJing, etc…
I know EXACTLY what you mean with my back/neck problems.
My wife and 2 grown kids, 2 boats, fishing, Nascar, gardening, landscaping, online gaming.
My other hobbies include hunting, fly fishing, fly tying, gardening, building (home improvement) to name a few… I used to build model airplanes and tanks in my early years as well as balsa RC gliders. This is my second time with model trains.
I currently enjoy reading, hiking (especially in the mountains), photography (was at one time a pro, taught it a while), woodworking (also taught that a while), boating, fishing, and when I was just a few years younger, both cross-country and downhill skiing.
Model railroading is one of my few indoor pastimes.

Quite a lot of home brewers here… I put my stuff away for the last few years but I used to make a mean Red Bitter. Thats a hobby I need to pick up again but with so many yummy micro-brews in the Portsmouth NH area, I haven’t been motivated…

Since I was raised in a traditional Native American house hold we were taught how to make everything that we used in the old days, I can make reproductions of any of my tribes war weapons, tools, quivers, bows, arrows and bead worked deer skin clothing.
Because of my historical knowledge of Native bead work I’ve had the oppertunities to preserve and repair some historical pieces for native museums.
Here is a sample of a mans belt pouch made of deer skin and beaded, I’m also building a custom van based on my culture called “Native Son” I’ll sneak a pic or two of that project in here also.
Take note of the custom window work, inserts that create a limo style window.
I hope I don’t get in trouble for posting non rail road pics?
Here is a pic looking through the side door, the floor was raised by 7" the half door (gate) leading into the bed area is hand carved and painted, also the scene above the door way depicts a warrior on the buffalo hunt and is carved and hand painted.

I’m into plastic model cars of various scales–1/25 being the most dominant. I’ve also been restoring a 1969 MGB GT, which should be finished very soon. Throw in the collection of Radio-Flyer wagons, and I have plenty of wheeled vehicles to play with 
Baseball cars. In sumer I mow part of the lawn 1/4 acre 1 hour. No riding mower!

Model trains is my main hobby now, but I’ve always liked plastic models, RC cars, or repairing anything that needs it. Anything electronic, including computers and radio, in fact an amateur friend recently gave me his old Hammarlund HQ-129X boat anchor (an old Ham tube receiver) that I’ve restored. I’ve been having fun listening to the AM bunch on 40 meters, as it makes for some pretty interesting radio, to say the least. [:-^]
I like hiking and mountain biking, but unfortunately a disk rupture has made the latter nearly impossible. [|(]
