I love EMDs!!! [:D]

did anyone see my thread on the unpatched DRGW GP40/ GP40-2 i dont know what it is but i know its there and ive been hunting for its number so i can see a the beauty roll thru on the caltrain line at night

I saw SP 154 yesterday and SP 343 today.

On an irregular basis SP power can be seen passing through Springfield, IL on the old GMO/IC/CMW/SPCSL now UP tracks. Most have UP numbering, but some of the old ones still pass through occassionally. An once in a while a new UP can been seen on the N&S lines passing through town … .

I saw SP 8674 yesterfay and today. Unfortunately, the left side has been repainted and no longer has Southern Pacific on it. At least the right side still does.

To my knowledge there is only one unpatched Rio Grande loco still roaming around. The numbers of the other merged roads are also dwendling. [:(]

Well I didn’t get numbers or anything, but I swung by Dolores yard last weekend and there were at least a half dozen SP / SSW locos around. I think a couple were even unpatched (AC4400s).

SP 7117 @ El Paso 2/27, SP 9752/SSW 9669 @ San Marcos,TX 2/28, SSW 7286/SP 7133 @ Ft.Worth 2/28. I miss the old Cotton Belt across KS!!!

Saw 8674 working a local this morning. No patch or sublettering (ie CEFX), still in speed lettering.

SP 7135 Morrison/Knudsen Rail rebuilt GP40-2 running locals out of Phoenix on 04/07/06 and on 04/13/06. Both times coupled to ‘patched’ GP60 1919 (early SP phase-1 dynamic brake hatch).

Just look on my web site & you will find unpatched DRGW/SPRR & SSW/CNW unpatched units. [:)]

Here is one of SP’s AC’s at the Vegas Depot…about 2 weeks ago

I have been there also [:)]

I saw SP 204 today.

I don’t if you are still keeping track or not, but this evening on a S.a. coal train here in Parsons was an unpatched, speed lettered Southern Pacific unit #324;it was the second unit behind a UP #8034, according to the UPRR roster the lead was an SD9043AC, and the SP#324 was a GEC44AC.

I saw SP 8674 yesterday. I suspect that it was on a WCEUM, but may have been a WCRVM.

This is DRGW 5371 an SD40T-2. UP is keeping it in Utah.

I dont have numbers YET, but I have unpatched AC’s and Geep-60’s regularly…(well once a week maybe)

No numbers, but I have seen a few SP units in the last 2 weeks. A few dash 9s and a SD45 tunnel motor. There are 2 SW1500s parked on a storage tracks in the old block SP lettering. I haven’t seen any D&RGW or SSWs.
