Yesterday, Mrs. Buckeye again dragged me out of the house. She insisted that I take her to the World’s Largest Train Display located in OHIO. Yes, you heard me right, the World’s Largest Train Display in Southwest Ohio, just north of Cincinnati. It is amazing! I have seen Balboa Park in San Diego, the museum in Chicago and many more layouts, but when you spend $10,000,000 you get…

Buckeye, Sounds like I have have to make a trip to the other end of the state! How much did they charge to see this layout?

Here is MTH - PCC Cleveland

Its been awhile since I last posted, heres some railfanning on did last monday just outside of Hudson NY on Route 9J.[8D]

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Buckeye, We are still #1, that’s “G” gauge. All that brass track, no wonder they spent $10mil. [(-D]

Wow - some incredible pictures today, thanks!

Buckeye - What is the address of the layout. I may take a field trip!

Slowly resuming work on the layout. Savna’s Supply; namedfor my grand daughter.

Great pics everyone!

Finally got track laid down. now comes the wiring

During the summertime up here in the northern part of Wisconsin the area is inundated by tourists and vacationers trying to escape the heat of the big cities of Madison, Milwaukee and Chicago to the south. Its something about the fishing and the cool starry nights that seems to draw them. Well every year about this time the local stations see a lot of specials bringing families up to the area, and the resorts and hotels fill up in no time.

There is lots of railroading going on down at the stations around town.

This cabby dropped off a fare and decided to hang around and see if he could take someone out to one of the resorts.

My guess is that he won’t have to wait long after the passengers begin to step out onto the platform.

Of course some folks have their rides all arranged. I heard from the guys down at the coffee shop that the president of Wausau Widgets was expecting his mother-in-law from Chicago to arrive to stay for the rest of the month. He sent the good car out to collect her and her luggage. Some folks do indeed know how to travel.

And they call these the “dog days” of summer.

Excellent pictures folks, I especially like the view of crip’s track work. Its enought to ins

Great job guys. Good looking layouts and the the railfaning.

Was going to post a photo of the new NS I beam car with plywood loads. Scale and it is BIG. Runs good on the layout though. It is in the back room on the end of the train on the inner loop so did not shoot it. Will show you wife’s newest addition. 10 weeks old and still tiny.

Lucy has plenty of energy. She loves caps from spray cans [liek hairspray].

Hey Chief does that plywood load make the car invisible on the table? [:-^] J/K - I’m just running on some felt, when I can get to it.

Hey, is Lucy a Scotty?

Spankybird: Nice car! Great to see you have ballast in!

Buckeye: Great idea boarding up an old station!

Crip: Looks like a lot fun to run on that!

Pete: Great looking building and scenery!

Kurt

Nice pics everyone. Thanks for sharing.

Buckeye - turned out nice.

Pete - always enjoy your “progress” shots.

Crip - I really like that track plan. You are on your way.

[:D], yea, it did.

Buckeye, love that trolley barn.

Tom, what is the sound like for that PCC? It looks great!
