IT won’t be long, and it will be looking like this.

Nice touch!
Nice pics/video all thanks for sharing. I’m digging out the train room again at least I was able to run trains again today lol
dave, thanks for sharing the pics of your layout. What brand is your track work?
Old B&O Q4b #4611 had been dead lined until I could replace its traction tires. The other morning, however, #4611 with three crewman in the cab was back to work on the MARS! Here’s a shot of her as she steamed by my trackside location.
Hope everyone is having a good Labor Day Weekend. Bo [:)]

I’m not a very good videographer, but here is something I put together on the MARS a short while back.

A combination of Gargraves and Lionel Super O. I have to make an adapter for the center conductor but the ground rail pins are compatible.
Very realistic looking setup. How did you get that look for the rails?
It sure looks real.
Dave, thank you. I simply masked the center rail and then sprayed the rails and ties with Rust-oleum’s flat brown. After I have the track in place at some point using an airbrush I generally spray on a very thin wash of grime or grimy black. The ballast is crushed granite from Brennan’s Better Ballast. Bo [:)]
Sir James l, thank you! Honestly, the locomotive did most of the work, I just clicked the shutter. Bo [:)]
Hi
Very nice. looks real. How did you do the snow?
Thanks for that tip. I like that look a lot since I have never seen real rails look shiny on the sides. They always look like yours, great job.
railhead - Always enjoy your videos.
Thanks to all who shared their pics this week.
FIFEDOG, thank you! Bo [:)]

That is just simply a wonderful winter time scene that captures a far away time and place perfectly. You can feel the winter’ wind’s bluster in that white landscape. Made my day. As a relocated Northerner it made me homesick which is no small accomplishment. Worthy of a article.
