I run Lionel Postwar and am generally not interested in Lionel’s newer lines but the other day I saw a layout that was running several Lionel cars that had TTOS stamped on them.
? … Are TTOS stamped cars a special production? Are they more desireable?

Yes it’s made for them and only club members can get them as they say. More desierable well I would say not as I have never gotten close to what the book says they are worth.
The 17871 TTOS Convention Car holds its value quite well.

WOW, you are correct! When you include “T.T.O.S”, it is very clear that a lot of the club merchandise holds its value / appreciates!
Like I said make you own judgement I see some that do but more that don’t, just hope your lucky on the ones you pick. I have always had bad luck trying to sell them. Guess I just can’t get a good one.
I have a 1978 Hollywood Convention car, it is priceless. I used it in the car exchange we did years ago. (12 forum members sent cars to each other every month, they all acquired more than 7000 miles, and have signatures of all the participants, on the car. Truly a collector item.)
