…Good Story. If “Charlie” was real…he sure would have had a lot of heat to tramp thru in his many years. Especially, along a RR track.

Seems like an early version of the Forrest Gump legend.

Those here who are concerned with depictions of unsafe images - such as the recent Trains Father’s Day e-mail ad - don’t look at the photo of ‘Examine Debe’ from 1972 at the end of the linked article.
