How many fully streamlined steam locomoitves did Union Pacific have?
I’ll say #3. 1
I don’t ever recall seeing a picture of one. I’ll say #1 0
…My answer is 2…in 1937.
I’m going to say two too.
I dont think they had any.
If the answer is more than zero, I’d like to see a photograph!
This site it would seem is more knowledgeable than the MR site. Two is right and modelcar even has the date. And CShaveRR you don’t really want to see them they (a Pacific and a Mountain) were really UUUUUUGHLY!
UP had two streamlined steamers, a 4-6-2 and a 4-8-2. They were originally intended as backup power but did work the “Forty-Niner” for a while.
…I agree, the photos I saw weren’t indicating any real beauty…!
We are aloud to look these up right? Or are there certain rules?
I don’t care as long as you don’t spoil it too much. This is for your enjoyment! The only thing really off limits is postings pictures or maps that wold give away the answer. However I would don’t care if you do once I have answered it, since you might know more details than I posted.
As I recall that had all the appeal of an upside down bathtub.
Tell us, please! Dyin’ to know!

Allen,
Good thinks come to those who wait. Answer tonight around 8:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time.
Ten-four, good buddy.
I’ll say #2 for the answer.
MC,the pictures I saw, reminded me of some of the old “wind-up” toys.
Two, but as I remember, they were both Mountains.
There was the Mountain and the Paciific, BUT, there was also a steam turbine. Or is this a trick question?
…Locomutt…A good description.
