Go to Yahoo.com and search “Union Pacific 3593” or some version of that.
I have seen that engine many times and have even been at the throttle of it!
You know the funny thing about that engine? You can’t see it!! (LOL)
There is a store in Sidney, MT that has a replica of the locomotive, its pretty nice!

I believe the store is called Rail & Ribbon in downtown Sidney. They have this huge Lionel layout and a couple of other HO ones.

Forgot to tell you this! If you are ever in eastern MT, you should stop in a see the store; ITS AWESOME!!!

It is cool that you have been at the control of the engine!
But to tell you the truth i have been to ribbon and rail and I am the owner of the replica!

Was there a special tribute loco to Desert Storm?

It seems like I have seen a brown UP loco. [:0]

But I am sure at times that I have seen pink elephants too. [:D]

That is in my younger days (if ya know what I mean [8D] [}:)] [;)] )

How many times do you see it. I haven’t seen it once!

Steamer? It was an SD40-2. I saw it in the old WP yard in Sacramento during the Railfair in 1991.

If you find her you will see her in Armor Yellow and Harbor Mist Grey. She was repainted in July of 91

Here is a link that has some info on it.

Hasn’t the desert victory been repainted?

Yep, she has been de-faced with UP yellow and gray… They should have spared her! Now we must protect the SPs! [:(!]

I am down with that, Brak710101. If only the Union Pacific haden’t painted over almost all C&NW engines. I hope #3300 will be their to stay.

I thought she got scrapped?

if you want a model, Athearn did it in HO scale not too long ago.

item # 8002 Union Pacific desert Victory SD40-2 #3593 ready-to-roll

pretty nice model, i snatched one up as soon as they were announced.

Yeah, save some CNW! Not quite the milwaukee, but we midwesterners have to look out for the old granger roads…all of them.
