I do not know if I’m dreamin’ or not But I’ve found more UP and Lease trains on the Riverline. Almost everyday I hear horns (K3LA or K3HA) BLASTING [^]by. I love it when I see it but get Hoppin’ mad when I miss it[:(!] I heard of an merger goin’ on between UP and CSX but I don’t think that is true.
Anybody know if this is a new run-through? If so, what?
It does seem that more UP and rental locos have been running CSX. I also heard the basis for the Merger rumors can be explained by CSX using UP based software, and needing live Tech support meetings in Jacksonville!
I’d a agree with that UP’s on CSX lines. Of course I have seen just about all of the US class 1’s lately here in GA.
yep alot of ups engines here on csx through defiance. I have also seen bnsf engines too.Csx needs all the power it can get.
stay safe

…When I was writing about ditch lights a few days ago on a UP engine…it was coming from the west through Muncie but that was on a NS line.
UP is way to big for itself. It needs to be broken down into smaller railroads.
I hear track warrants being issued to trains on the BNSF Hinckley Sub up here in
Minnesota with CSX Transportation units on the lead fairly often (not a lot but often
enough to mention). UP has trackage rights over that sub from Minneapolis up to
Superior so I’d imagine these are paybacks to the BNSF and/or UP for power those
two roads have borrowed to CSX. I also saw a solid lashup of CSX power on a
freight southbound out of Pig’s Eye Yard in South St. Paul - couldn’t tell if it was a
BNSF or CP train though.
Got a picture of two UP units delivering coal to Ft Drum, NY. Can’t find it right now, though.
And I bet you a kibble, this will never happen. BNSF either…
