Hi, I’m a senior Industrial Design student working on my capstone project. I loved playing with toy trains as a kid and still do today, which is why I’m designing a toy train system for the project. I am posting here because I need some help from the community for the research segment of the project. I have made a google form with questions related to toy trains and spaces to give your thoughts, likes, and dislikes about them. The toys I’m designing will be similar to what Plarail offers, that being based on IRL locos and rolling stock but durable enough for rough play. My goal with this research is to determine how I should stylize the look of the toys as well as what details are most important to represent the real life inspiration. Thank you all in advance!
