Derek nice photo! However if you use the IMG Code to link it, the photo will appear here on the page rather than just the link to it at Photobucket.

Thanks Big Guy,
I actually had trouble with the new Photobucket Beta site. I re-edited my post and the two pics I wanted to show are now there
Any Premonitions as to ‘What may happen here??’
As the 812 has made Friends w/8284??
Yeah, I thought not… Expect it…
PS: Placid Waters, Stir Deep…
Gidday Terry, thanks for your kind comment, the viaduct was my first scratch built structure, its on a portable exhibition layout and at the time the guys and I were trying to put the illusion of verticality into the layout whilst keeping each section manageable for two persons. We put a removable hill on the opposite section.
The prototype that I used for inspiration , from a photo, was, from memory, on the Great Western in South Wales. I enjoyed all the different facets that went into the build, and also learnt an important lesson, DON’T waste time detailing what can’t be seen. [sigh]
Hope your Open House has gone down well.
[8D] stuff again everyone else.
Cheers, the Bear.
Hey Ja Bear;
That is one incredibe bridge!!!
My connection had a studder & your bridge went a couple pages over lapped so it almost was 2 miles high on my screen due to the pause/studder, & it was really cool being alnost “Heavenly Tall”
Nice bridge, & even cooler effects with out slow internet, over here…
Kudos Mate!!! Brilliant!!
Gidday Chad, Thanks. I guesstimated the height of the prototype so mine didn’t look too unrealistic though a civil engineer may point out that a gorge that wide would have been spanned by a large truss bridge instead.
I also tend think that along with scale compression, exaggeration has a place in modelling.
Cheers, the Bear. [:D]
Ja Bear;
That is one of the most impressive Bridges I can count on one hand…
That’s it…
It is that imprssive to me… Thank you for sharing it with us!!! Awesoeme!
DJ … Thanks for commenting on my photo. Yours is terrific! I like the creek and the stone bridge. Outstanding.
Chad … I can imagine what may be the fate of 8284 and I cringe. [+o(]
Everybody… Great photos are continuing. Fantastic WPF!
Finally “finished” the bridge-building scene on my Free-moN “Shoo-fly” module.
Was raining yesterday (and today)(and will throughout the weekend) so best I could do was haul the module as close to the open garage door as possible for some shots to show how both sections work together:
Lots of little details still to add, but it’s nice to have a module “done” with most of the scenes in so I don’t have to keep explaining to viewers what “will be” there.
Now to fit the endplates to it doesn’t take up as much room in my car :scared:
Thanks for looking.
And thanks for sharing all your great work this week!
Great scene on the shoo-fly! I particularly like the picture of the abutment with the rebar showing and partial wood concrete forms - excelemt detail.

This is the view from my online Train Cam
in the Home Position It has about a 5 second delay but runs real time
The viewer can pan the camera left / right using the arrow buttons
It gives almost a full view
It also can be Zoomed in or out

Hey everyone!
I see a lot of great photos here again, everyone did a great job. Curt, does any other F unit manufactured sound as good as the Athearn Genesis FP7? I doubt it. They’re awesome!
I finally reworked my Key Imports B&O P5 pacific with a decent decoder, so now it’s time to get some good pics.
Here’s a shot of some of our Pennsy diesels. The Alco’s are Bachmann with the trainphone antennas added:
Have a great weekend!

I got 5 units into primer. I used rustoleum automotive primer. I ran out on the 4th unit and had a can of krylon white primer. I used it to finish the 4th and fifth unit. I don’t like the white and may strip it after touching up the noses.

Vincent,
I’ve had really good results with the Rustoleum Gray Auto Primer, so usually use it. Cost is reasonable and it’s widely available.
Terry- very nice layout.
Stan- Top notch modeling.
mlehman: Nice job on the sawmill,Mike. I also like your backdrop, and that mountainous area in the corner looks great!
DJ: Beautiful scene! The waves/ripples are just right, and the transition from shallow to deep water is very realistic.
markdeimling: Good looking engine house, the lighting is a great touch!
'Enjoying everyone’s posts - Have a good weekend!
Mike
Edit: 'Knew I forgot something…
twhite: I look forward to your photo’s - you’ve got some terrific examples of “Big Steam”.
Awesome Photo’s this weekend!!!
I spilled some Zito Yellow!!!
Painted CNW Zito Yellow on some AMB BN Transfer Caboose & an Accurail Composite Gondola.
Which gave me a paneled painting effect, that I dare not try to duplicate with a solid cast version. Not prototype scale, but neat looking, all the same…
These are really awesome kits, if you like kits, please check them out!
