They left Temple, Texas, around 8 am this morning.
I would guess they are headed to Waco for it is the next large city on the way to Dallas/Ft. Worth.

So where exactly are they headed to?
I think it’s either the Council Bluffs, Iowa yard or the Chicago yard of the Iowa Interstate. I kinda hope its Council Bluffs so I can try to take a look.
I can’t imagine they will get past the guys that hawk Saginaw, TX (jct N of Ft. Worth) without being seen.
We believe GAL to be Galesburg.

I have a friend who has been listening to his scanner and waiting for them to pass his house…They are at Valley Mills Tx. In the siding waiting for 2 other trains to get around them…Probably A/trak and another ffreight…Are they or are the not under tarps? This was at about 1:30 cdt…Danny PS He dont expect them into FW til 5_6 o’clock this evening…
They are going to Rock Island, IL for federal boiler tests (NRE-Silvis?) (per Progressive Railroading site)

Since I am not a railroader and do not normally follow a consists progress I have a question. Is it normal for it to take this long for a special movement to get from 1 pt. to another? They have taken days to move from Houston to Dallas area.
Hence the name “Special Move”. It would be a lot quicker if they could add them to the end of a scheduled manifest but with that much weight the tail would be wagging the Dog.
And BN is not going to hold up the money trains for this one…no one is in a big rush for them to get where they are going, as long as they get there in one piece!

arrived ark city kansas 1830 6/23, will try to update which route it will take to kansas city ark city sub to la junta sub, or straight down the emporia sub, but I’m first out, so may not get a chance to update, no crew on duty at ark city to move train yet as of 1954 central time.
