Boy after ‘disappearing’ in TX they sure move quick now that they’re ‘found’!

I wonder if they will depart the transcon at Ft. Madison IA & move from there to the old CB & Q for final delivery? [:D]

I hope you caught them before they left.

It looks like they now are on train MNEWGA. I wonder what hapened to the H symbol for high/wide load? Are they still directly behind the power?

Somebody posted a trace that they were in Brookfield MO @0818 today

When will they be delievered to IAIS? When will IAIS run them?

They’re movin’ right along about 40-45 mph…West Quincy MO at 15:01m Augusta IL at 16:05, most recently:

Ok,
So, seeing as “I found them first”…(thats a joke, guys)
I would love to have a shot of them when they get to where they are going…better yet, when they are up and running.
If any of you guys get such a shot, would you mind too much emailing me a copy?

My question about this ,is why did IAIS buy Chineese steam loco’s? And did they pass through Aurora yet?

Not going that far east. Silvis is next door to Moline, IL, their destination.

What we need is some gifs of these engines on flatcars…lol!

or

Some more pics!

Aahh, darn. But still, Why Steam, and altogether why chineese Steam. I have nothing against it, but, it is a very weird situation. Is the IAIS really going to use these for freight service. If so, then it will bring back memories at Joliet, kind of. [;)]

Because Henry Posner, who is an owner of RDC could do it, and he thought he could have some fun and make money with them.

I don’t believe IAIS bought them but I could be wrong. Anyway, when will they run them? I would desperatly like to know.

IAIS’s parent corporation, RDC Inc., bought them. They’re going to use the IAIS as the test rails to certify that the Chinese engines work just fine over here in the USA, then sell them to some tourist operation if any are interested.
