Wino Foils Nazi Invasion Of Brooklyn

Known locally as Highrail Sr. on his morning stagger through Prospect Park, Highrail stumbled upon a crack unit of Nazi’s about to invade Brooklyn. Armed only with a common kitchen match and breath said to be a mix of Sterno and diesel he threatened to blow them all up. They laid down there weapons and were arrested by Civil Defense.

Rock On! USA,USA!!!

Ya know, it could only happen in New York City, and then only in BROOKLYN!!!

Only in NYC can a half dozen guys dress like that in broad daylight, and no one pays attention…

John, beautiful job. Can I ask you where you get your tanks, vehicles, and figures?

Colin, The majority of the armor and figures is made by Corgi. 1/50 scale.

Thank goodness for Highrail Sr.

beautiful…love it…very nice

Thanks John. Your layout is amazing, you did a great job with it.

Update: N.Y. National Guard called in to round up prisoners.

Typical Swabbie.

Jon - I really like this one. That lucky sailor!

[(-D]

This was great! Love that sailor - good eye Tom!

Yeah, I remember the movie version - it had John Wayne, Lee Marvin, Don Knotts, Marilyn Monroe and Lassie in it. I think it was called “The Breath that Saved Brooklyn,” directed by Otto Preminger, in Technicolor. It shows up on Turner Classic Movies all the time. [swg]

JON, Between HIGHRAIL SR. and the GOOD LOOKING CHICK, those NAZIs can never win.

GREAT JOB, buddy YOU DA MAN!

LOL, it’s on right now…

[:)] Detailed work looks great BUT [2c] “Subject” Line and Premise may be interpreted in some circles as lacking sensitivity [:(] …(Don’t shoot, only this “older” guys opinion)

No problem! Forums are all about opinions. Good, bad, indifferent. But you have my curiosity up! To whom am I being insensitive to?

A: Otis the Wino

B: Brooklyn

C:Nazi’s

D: G.I’s

E: Sailors

F: Loose women

G: All the above

Sometimes we need to separate reality from parody.

“Sometimes we need to separate reality from parody”…Good point! [bow]

(When I proudly served as a member of the “Queen Of Battle”, I met many poor Otis’, some from Brooklyn and also met a few “Loose women”. One of my closest buddies went down with his ship. Certainly, not choice “C”. --…Anyway, enough said.)

Now, back to your layout. Really like your work. Any chance to add a “MASH” unit? [:)]
