CLOSED////////The Coffee Pot is still on and over 3 years. Here we gather as friends with trains.

Bet the GUY with the bucket above his head is DA CHIEF, in his younger days.

Heard him say in HARRISBURG, " he could eat a bucket full as long as he had lots o butter on em".

Well they just called and they have changed it from a nuc stress test to a type where I run on the tread mill and then they take x rays of my heart to see if its still beating lol.

Afternoon all. Back from Wilmington. Got to holdthe little guy for over 30 minutes. Had to rush back for Dr’s apt. [my favorite train loving Dr.[;)]]

[bday][bday] TOM.

Colin, hope your Dad gets better.

Whoever??? good luck at the heart Dr. Can’t remember all the posts and can not review them unless you open two windows.

Hope there are some trains in the future for tonight. Only had four hours sleep last night and got up so early to make the drive and leave before noon. BTW, I need to eat [dinner] as I missed the lunch meal.

Later

Here are some of the Grits Ladies…from the Grits Pag

eant.

Anyway, I just wanted y’all to know this is a real thing. We actually have a Grits Festival.

In train related news, Tomorrow, on History International, they have a program called “Voyages” which will be from Trains Unlimited- Model trains. It is on a few different times so try to catch one.

The tractor has a broken strut, so I have one ordered. Could weld it, but for the price, it is better to just order one and get the tractor work done later. Besides, it allows me more time to spend on trains.

Colin, hope your dad gets better soon.

RRTraincollector, hope you get good results with your stress test.

Oh! I almost forgot, when I returned home today, had a nice little tax return check from Uncle Sam. Handed it to my bride and told her I circled the items in the Lionel catalog I am interested in [B)]. She says I am still on restriction.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOM!!! …And many, many more!

A great big WELCOME to the new addition to the Chief family. I bet 7 pounds something on a grits diet turns into 70 pounds something in 3 months [;)]

Gonna have to miss the grits festival this weekend…what a shame!

I’m sure some of you in the midwest are already experiencing a storm. The prediction here is for 3-4" of snow by Thursday morning…exactly when I have to start hauling cars to the auction. Sounds like my Friday will be spent recleaning all my winters hard work. If it wasn’t for bad luck…

Looking forward to some R & R in 2 weeks. Wish I was spending the time around the house though. I’d like to get a start on finishing the attic.

Y’all have a good evening!

Bruce Webster

Congratulations, Grandpa Chief.

Tom, again Happy Birthday. [bday] What’s it like to shovel snow on your birthday?

A Grits Festival? [%-)] When you have people who think that sitting in back of a pick up truck at the Dairy Freeze on a Saturday night is a big event, I guess a Grits Festival rates right up there with the state fair.

Those people in the back of the pickup truck, at Dairy Freeze, probably just finished up the annual " GRITS PARADE ".

Chuck, they even have a grits song:

I’m from Warwick, Georgia
And I know what I want to eat.
I don’t want no oatmeal and
I don’t want no Cream of Wheat.
Give me some grits, baby.
Give me some grits, baby.
You can eat it with butter,
You can eat it with cheese,
You can eat it anytime with
Anything you please.
As long as its grits, baby.
Just give me some grits, baby!
Warwick, Georgia, Grits Capital of the World.

I never want to hear another derogatory remark about the Tomato Festival or Pumpkin Festival here in Buckeyeland.

Oh, yeah, the Famous Georgia Gritts Festival !! Gritts is their official prepared food of the state of Geogia as proclaimed by state code 50-3-78 !! So this ain’t notin’ to sneeze at !! [(-D][(-D]

Boy, I sure hope they make out good on this festival, I guess there’s about 430 people all total that make up this big Metropolis !! [:D]

Hope all have a good evening !!

Thanks, John

You forgot the Zuccini festival(Obetz), Brauts festival(Bucyrus(you must go here)) and the Corn festival(Millersport) Ohio even has a Moonshine festival but I forgot where that is.[dinner][dinner][dinner]

dwiemer - I bet the 3 gals in the background can hardly wait to be legally emancipated and hop into the first El Camino out of Warwick.[tup]

fifedog, not so fast there. In a place like Warwick, they could be in the running for “town girl”.

There are more old pickup trucks than people in that town.

Then there is the Ohio Maple Syrup Festival. Great pancakes.

Good evening,

Chief, where are the pictures?

I picked up three Weaver head end cars today at the LHS. Had them ordered for quite a while, just stopped in to visit a little and he said, got something for you, been to busy to send you and email. The look nice, now I have to take one of my passenger trains off and put on a PRR set.

Take care,

How could they sing for something , that isn’t fit for human consumption ???

To all - thanks for the birthday wishes. We did have a good day today!

Buckeye- LOL[(-D][(-D][:o)] Your Grits Song is very funny. You should e-mail it to Ray Stevens so that he can turn it into a comedy music video![;)][swg][(-D][:o)] Dennis-c’mon admit it! You’re the Poor,Unfortunate fellow they are dumping the Grits on in your above photo.[;)][;)][:P][:o)][:o)] Maybe Bob Keller was there & took the photo of Dennis getting dumped on by G.R.I.T.S. What a “Kodak Moment”![;)][;)][:o)][:o)] Tom P- Glad you had a nice day for your Birthday. Have a Nice evening all.

John,

I’d be interested to hear your opinions of the Weaver head end cars. I have a couple of Pennsy passenger consists that are screaming for some proper head end equipment. Reefers alone don’t cut it any more. Are they scale?

Bruce Webster

Been real quite as the YANKS would try and get this out fom under me. Choochoo Auctions gave up this one for $23.

[:D][:-^]

Good night.

Chief- Is that the autographed version by Bob “Grits” Keller? [;)][:o)][:o)][:o)] Take Care.
