Great stuff in this thread.
Okay you experts, can any of you eagle eyed train nerds tell me what the line up is here?

@davefoxx that pond looks amazing!
@BATMAN, are these all “Royal” class locomotives? At one point they all hauled some monarch folks on the CP?
Peter, whenever I see one of your photos I ask myself, which are Peter’s most amazing talents, layout building or layout photography?!
And Dave, now I’m asking the same of you!
Regards, Chris
Yeah, I agree. These guys are knocking it out of the ballpark, so to speak.

I really want to do some Electrics on my layout
Something that caught my attention from Darth Santa Fe’s YouTube video about restoring an original Athearn, Metal-shell RDC, was that the Front-end is like the Proto model, with non-ribbed Panels and large Cab Windows.
However, later Athearn, Plastic-shell models have Ribbed Panels with Fluting and the smaller Cab Windows.
I’ve wondered why Athearn opted for the Ribbed Front-end version, when they already had the Metal-shell established and it would be nice to get my hands on one of these and restore it like how Darth did his.
