Going through my Dad’s collection is kind of fun. I never know what im going to find. Found the UP Gas Turbine locomotive. So i had to put it on the layout. Can’t wait to get the bigger one started.

Hi asardaro, I think it’s great that you are keeping all your Dad’s collection going like this. Paul.

Front-end Friday: 25th April 2025

Hi, here’s a few photos of an Athearn B/Box SD40-2, I picked-up a while ago.
It has been redecorated to Conrail 6373, celebrating the Olympic USCF Trials that were held in Altoona, 1992

There is also some detailing and a front Plough added. I will be re-decorating this, sorting some of the detailing and adding additional details, as well as the Electrics.

I think she looks a bit mean, in this Front-end view.

Have a good weekend, Paul.

Paul, thanks for kicking us off! Given spring is in the air, I’ll post one from the outdoor layout, albeit from late last summer. RGS C-19 Number 40 rounds the bend on the St. Vrain Western.

Brekina’s 1:87 Porsche is a fine model and couldn’t resist having one on my layout to represent my late Pop’s 69’ 912.
