What do you listen to while working on your layout?

Most of the time I listen to whatever’s on tv in the background, usually King of the Hill, Everybody Loves Raymond or Seinfeld, but on some days I’ll hear my neighbor and her girlfriend “getting busy” on the other side of the common wall wich separates our units. When that happens, I usually don’t get much layout work done.

I don’t think I could work under those conditions either.

What do you mean, “busy”? Are they really into woodworking, or something?

I tried some Black Sabbath yesterday but the little one was running around the garage and I had to stop what I was working on (a head house for one of the backdrops).

Music does soothe the savage beast, but only certain music I’m afraid…

I listen to both kinds of music. Country and Western…chuck

Depends on the mood. Hudson Hawk and Big Trouble in Little China make great background noise, and I know them well enough to look up for the good parts. Music wise, Tears for Fears, Paul Simon, Dire Straits, ELO, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Roy Rogers, Doc Watson, Sons of the Pinoneers, New Christies Minstrils, Classical (Beethoven, Holst, Handel, Shostakovich(the 7th and 8th should be reserved for blighted areas of you layout), Grofe’, and Berlioz.)
