It is cloudy in SE Indiana, perhaps it is due to the day. Lucas is going to IU today, a happy/sad day for all of us. After all we have been thru with him, it is a definitely a day of mixed emotions. If you would all keep him in your thoughts and prayers as you have in the past, I am sure he will do just fine. I hope everyone has a good day.

Stopped raining all day from the tropical storm that came through last week but now another storm is out in the Carribbean, a hurricane this time. Cut my weeds(what is left of grass) back yesterday.
My new Williams set of F7’s(the set has been sitting for almost five years in the box, box never opened) may need to have the electronic board taken out and replaced with a bridge rectifier, it keeps going into reverse when left overnight in forward. I tried jumping off the reversing switch but that only made the motors work again.

Boy, do I feel your pain. What a shame that a gifted kid such as Lucas is going to school at loosierland. [;)] The good thing is that BK is no longer roaming the sidelines and trying to corrupt his mind. [:-^]
UPDATE ROSEYVILLE, NC
The Mayor of Roseyville, NC has announced he has some land that he would like to sell to the school system after getting all his cronies to complain about the preferred bus route. The new, more expensive route would of course cross the Mayors plantation and destroy most of his grits crop.

Doug M - a buddy at work has some catalog with lots of models and military stuff, mostly German - included two different scale models of the Hindenburg. However, they were very pricey - $200 to $400!!!

Well, today we finally got a break from the rain. Was pretty out, but up to 80 by 0630. Made for a steamy day. Guy came and spread the fertilizer and weed control over the yard.
It was a great day on the train front. Got home early for a change. Then, I find that I got both my CTT and MR in the mail…so the postman can live. After working with my son on his Chinese homework, he asked to go work on the layout. We finished wiring the outer loop and running the breakers, etc. Then, we took out the Susquehanna RS3 and a MTH Susie Q box car and ran them around the loop for awhile. Kids loved it and so did I. Was a fun time had by all.
Fife, if you have a cage in the back, I bet it is just begging for the first Perp to take a “Screen Test”! Have fun and keep safe. Enjoy it.
Well, had better get to bed. Have a long, drawn out day tomorrow as a few cases, but the schedule has us following several hours after the first case as we have some speeches to give on surgery, etc. Should be nice PR, but will make us pay in the long run.

Chief - as much as I’d love the Charger, unfortunately my agency ain’t headed that way anytime soon. Too much invested parts wise in Ford. Plus, there’s a bit of brake problem with the Dodge package at present.

Well, going to say good night. Sleep tight and don’t let the bed bugs bite. Had bad coughing spells. Two swigs of cough meds. and two Tylenol Arthritis [had sore throat and some fever]. Now I should crash soon. Coffee pot ready for tomorrow and on auto. Still have tornado warnings in NC [way down east]. Lots of flash flooding warnings all over the state. Especially in the mountains. They were the worse hit by drought as they had never recovered like we had. Hope the Russian guy does not come too far north. Could draw a bead on New Orleans. Got 10 AM meeting at TH with school system on ROLESVILLE Middle School site plan. Then, my time I hope. Everyone do me a favor. A small prayer that the funding plan that banker and I have worked out gets good approval and works for buying the Lake House. That way, no mortgage. Thanks. Prayer works. BTW: think I read Brutus has a 14th aniv. Condolences to the wife. [;)]

BTW, as a praise report, they put my uncle Bill (WWII bomber crewman) in the hospital, pushed Lasix and also rehydrating, put on 6 liters (?!) of oxygen. He’s coming back around and may even be released back to home care in the next few days. I think a decision will have to be made soon to get him in a veterans home or some other nursing home, since the visiting nurse wasn’t managing things very well - obviously. Thanks for the prayers and they do help us all.

66 and begining to spit a little outside. Hope to get a bunch o rain? Maybe GOLF tonite against BRO or maybe not? But it is day 4 of the school year, and going good so far. Ran a nice 4 miles last nite with dog, felt good, dog went for swim, I didn’t. Slept great.

Well getting ready for my last day as an IT grunt for awhile[sigh] have learned a lot from working with this company and gained some much needed experience so it was a win-win arrangement.
Fife whats this about the Charger having a brake problem? Been wanting one for a long while. Columbus police
and Highway patrol are testing Chargers and some Chevy suvs, from what I understand the old cars are put up for auction and are mostly snaped up by taxi companies.

Foggy in SE Indiana. Long day emotionally and physically yesterday. Did not think it would hit me this hard. Got Lucas in his room. Wife and him were going round and round about where to put “stuff”. Finally got some things squared away and I told them we needed to go. Visited her sister and one of our daughters before we left Bloomington. Quiet trip home. All the doors were open in the house last night. First time in a long time for that (Lucas and the girls all kept their room doors closed). Things will be different. Thank heaven there are soccer games tonight. Bran muffins on the dining car. I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all. All they forgot to do is shovel the dirt over my body. Nose running, coughing and eyes watering. Found three fireant nests at garden this AM. Had not seen one of those in backyard in two years. Rain will bring them to the top of the ground. Mike, is always a strong feeling when they fly out of the nest. Fife, do you get retrained on pursuit driving if you get a Charger or Impala? Front wheel drive handles different than rear wheel drive. Better take cough meds as meeting at 10. Coughing too hard. later
The Chargers have a rotor problem. Either the wrong metal or the rotor is too small. I forget which, it’s just too early. There is a fix, and those in blue that I know, really like the HEMI Charger (NYPD just took delivery of 6, 5 3.5 liters & 1 Hemi Persuit, for testing).
Very cloudy now, up to 91 & 250% humidity, typical Florida summer. Rained last night, just to make it more humid.[banghead]
Won a 1055 Texas Special on the Bag, came in yesterday, sat down and cleaned the wheels and pick ups, lubed it up and runs like a champ. Single motor, not much on the pulling power. May clean it up a bit and flip it at the LHS. My Dad has one, just wanted to see what I was in for…Should have an extended test at the LTS Saturday. I was going to take the weekend off, but the owner is going out of town, so I figured I hang out there…
Car project moving along slowly, scrapped another 20lbs of dirt and mud off the frame, gettin ready to paint the engine bay soon.

It is a cloudy 64 degrees. Going up to 73 today, with light rain, on and off, all day. Yuk. Need some sunshine.
Today, I am taking it easy. Right leg is hurting. Every time it rains. Better take the meds for it. Maybe I will run trains this afternoon. Need to get started on the scenery again.
Dining car was here and we had breakfast. Then it was off to all the other stops " Points West ".

Fay gave us some lite rain overnite but not enough to measure. Still drizzly but expected to move out. A little is some so we will take it. I just got back from the “off brand” grocery store,wanted to go and stay away from this weekend madness. I got an offer from Brutus to visit and help hang drywall this weekend but he wanted to do all the screwing, didn’t think that was fair so had to turn him down. Although my wife was all for my leaving.LOL. How far is it from Detroit to St. Louis?
