February Coffee Pot 2016. 11 years old. Wonderful grits and sweet ice tea for the southern gents. Coffee and oatmeal for the Yanks.

49 this morning and headed to 62 today. Very windy today out of the south at 35-40 but lots of sun.
I have all the supports built for the bucket grapple and it is ready to weld up. Will do it tomorrow at the neighbors because he has a nice mig welder. I only have a old Lincoln buzz box stick machine. I will pull the snow plow blade off today so I can haul the bucket over there tomorrow.

Enjoy Your day Buckeye…[^]

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUCKEYE…[bday]

[bday][^][bday] Buckeye

Happy birthday Buckeye![bday]

Was it my birthday today [?][?][?][?][?][?] [^] I thought my birthday was next week. (That’s an inside joke for you newcomers to the forum.) Oh well, thank you everyone for the birthday wishes and yes Laz, I got five things with flanges. [G][G][G][G][G]

Buckeye you can’t count the cars you bought on the road the other week [:-^]

Yes he can RT.

If I could not count the things with Flanged wheels I get for me I would not be able to count anything. [swg]

Once I told wifey I wanted a John Deere Gator for my birthday, never got it so the next day I went and got it for me. [(-D] That was ten years ago… I just told her I figured she did not know what one I wanted and thanked her for it. [;)]

Evening all!

[bday] Buckeye! [bday]

70’s today and still 70 right now. 70’s again and maybe some rain this weekend. Lowest temp so far this winter - 27 - nice!

Doug M - saw on the news ya’ll had a bit of wind today [:|]

Good evening all,

Happy birthday, Buckeye! 100 days to “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing”. Good day at work. Went to see a movie that was filmed in Greensburg. Surprisingly good. I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Mornin’ boys. Partly sunny & 39 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. 1 day to DAYTONA! Looks like I picked the wrong time to buy time-sharing in Fiji…

We saw our first Robin this morning.

Not much sleep till after 2am as the winds were howling w/55mph gust.

61 degrees yesterday and 50s today, back to 30s next week.

S.J.

Sunny and 55 degrees. Warming fast as suppose to go to mid 60’s.

Yesterday was one of those dreaded early and long sessions with Town Board and staff and budget expansion. Glad that is over.

Buckeye, Thought your birthday was last month and the month before and so on. Anyway. Your present is in the mail. Couldn’t afford the high dollar fast delivery postage. It is on the slow delivery route. [:-^] [newbees, Buckeye has a birthday every month]

Got lunch with former intern and her boyfriend. Must be serious. She is introducing me to him. I’m like her second Dad.

Got to clean the Train Box. Full of engine boxes. Had to dig through the whole group to get one for the enigne that is at Lionel repairs. Got some kids that want to see trains run.

Have a good one.

Hola Dudes & Dudettes !

Been a 10# in a 5# sack this past week and a half. Glad thats over ! Had my first wireless ICD test and even though I didn’t wake up during the test it must have been a very restless night. My c-pap mask and half the bedding was on the floor when I wokeup about 4 in the morning. When they called the next day they said that the ICD and I both passed with flying colors.

Any of you have some of the K-Line die cast 4 bay hoppers ? I currently have 13, unlucky maybe, on my roster that hadn’t been run in quite awhile. Was a real pain to pack for the museum due to weight. Yesterday I finally got them out to run and discovered a potentially big problem. One of them in the 4 car Chessie color scheme has developed a bad cas of zinc pest. It has grown in length about 3/16" and 1/4" in width at the center, as well as exhibiting a lot of other irregularities. If you got any check your inventory.

Doc’s are still making changes to my heart meds trying to reverse some of the decline in function.

A belated [bday] Buckeye, seems like we just did this last month. [swg] With many more to come !

Later all !

P.S._Anybody have any ideas as to finding some “Alice In Wonderland” characters in

Good evening all,

I did 8 miles in 2:19:19 today outside at the Y. Not a great time, but still sufficiently fast enough. Was very worn out when I got home. Still have Sunday to get some items done. I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Doug, got a large number of them. Mrs. Edna put them on sale when K-Line went under. Also, picked up some from ChooChooAuctions real cheap. So heavy, got them stored. Will check them out.

Wifey and I ate at Golden Corral. Got a batch of free passes Heather [old front end manager] gave me when she left to be GM in Reidsville, NC. Prime rib.

Later.

Bust week. Had CAD traiuning in Kansas City Monday and Tuesday, an all day seminar on Wednesday, worked late on Wednesday and Thursday doing some 3D modeling for a tool that was broken - oh also caught a pretty good cold on Wednesday.

RT - good luck on your blood shgar project. A short time back my doctor told me I have the opposite problem - low blood sugar. Reccomends smaller and more frequent meals, cut the carbs and get more protien. More meals - guess I can handle that!

Nothing new on the train front. On the robot front, the kids got the compitetion robot together and are starting to do testing. As typical, some re-desigining and re-building is required. Double the work, cause we’ve got to make the same changes on the practice robot.

Looking forward to the Daytona 500 tomorrow.

All for now.

Good Evening from warm (60’s) clear Southern Ohio

It was beautiful outside today. Got up into the mid 70’s. Gotta love it. Spent most of the daylight hours in bed since I’m at work all night, but what I did experience was great. Assisted at two Vigil Masses then came into work.

On the work front, the funding for our project has not came through and I’m going to get laid off the end of this month. The threat has been there since last September, and so it’s not like it was unexpected. Crazy, going from working 24-36 hours of overtime a week to being laid off. I was hoping to make it to March 17 because that would have been 39 years I’ve been working here. We’ll see. When one door closes another opens, and I just turn it over to God and ask for a point in the right direction. Sent out resumes for some interesting jobs still in the nuclear enrichment field that are nearby.

SJ-We had some wind but nothing near 55mph!

Dougdagrump-Try the Disney store. I think I remember seeing something there.

Good night and may God bless

Jim

Jim sorry to hear that prayers something works out for you.

Morning all. Been one of those up and down nights just couldn’t sleep. sleep for a couple of hours wake up can’t go back to sleep get on computer for a bit go back to bed sleep a few more hours.

Morning all!

Got sprinklers fixed and tested. Found 3 more buried CATV cables. Cut another one (nicked the jacket) and yes it was an active one Even though I was digging carefully with small hand tools. This is only a 15 in deep x 12 in wide x 24 in long hole. They come next week to put in a new one. Glad this is over. Bet my internet and TV provides are also!

Supposed to rain this afternoon. We’ll see.

Mike C - 8 miles, impressive.

RT - I had a restless night also. We also are dealing with an aged dog that has to go out two or three times between 11 pm and 6 am. Rough.

Phish - that’s tough [angel]

Daytona today. Chase Elliott won race last night. He is good like his father. Rising fast.

Our February club meet video is now posted on that other 3r forum. Last I checked it was not on detroit3railers yet.
